You did a great job on this...very clever. I love the Rutles, some of their songs are actually better than the Beatles. Check out my videos i've posted, I did a few Rutle tributes myself...again, very well done.
10x meez2....nothing better to start the day than read a commment like this. nice to know that ppl appreciate what i do. thanks again. ill check ure films now...and for pink floyd and movie fans, please check out my music video for Comfortably Numb because it's my fav lol.
check out the dvd "all you need is cash" from the rutles as it is the ultimate parody of the beatles! truly awesome from the late 70's, it even has a cameo of the real george harrison as a reporter (george is dressed up to look 70!) neil innes who plays john in the rutles movie does a wonderful impersonation for sure. neil gave up doing the comical john impressions since lennon died.
And I did not catch that the reporter was George until the second time around. Ron Nasty was my favorite Rutle, right after Stig O'Hara who "hadn't said a word publicly since 1968."
THIS IS GENIUS!

Being a HUGE Beatles fan, this 'parody' is so well written. John would be proud

@mreeping Actually, he was! When given a copy of the tape to view and return, he refused to return it!

Barry Wom is, in fact, a TERRIBLE hairdresser. (Or is it TWO terrible hairdressers?)

A very nice job! I also noticed a snippet of Concert for George in the mix - Neil Innes was in that too; he gets around.

I agree. 'Hold my hand' is genius. Beats 'Hold your Hand' hands down (pun intended) in my opinion. And I love 'Let's be natural'.
What songs do you think are better than Beatles songs?
magegirl8 3 years ago
You even put in a bit of George doing the Pirate song from Rutland Weekend Television! Of course Neil Innes is in that too.

Wow! That was awesome, and I have to admit I became confused sometimes. "Is that a Rutle or is that a Beatle?" Good job, 5 stars.

I've seen it. That's how I know what this is. ^_^
