To each his own. I'm just saying that for those of us who remember when they broke in North America and loved their raucous style, it was more than a little disapointing to see them turn into a hugely overproduced pop act. The roar when out of the leopard long long ago.

@clitoricam I remember when they first came over - it was a BIG deal. At the time there was nothing like them and it was exciting. Yes.. the roar definately went way out a long long time ago. What a band.

Sav's hair was almost straight! Joe didn't have his gorgeous blondish hair yet! And Pete Willis was still here! This was when they were rock rock till' you drop top of the world days... before they started getting really bad. :( I miss when they were good... they lost it after Steve died.

R.I.P. Steve! They wanted to get that softer side on the hysteria album, and look what happened.

@DefLeppard981 I detect someone in love with them :S..... Just another rock band... great rock band but it is what it is.... Yes, Hysteria was one of the best. Pyromania came out when i was in like 12th grade or something.... Saw that show at Harrisburg, PA.

@raymarshjr Yes before the massive ass sellout! Playing ballads for 14yr old girls and releasing over produced pop records ugh!! For a short time they were rough and ready and had a great hard rock sound and swagger. Big letdown, glad to see I'm not the only one who felt that way.

@clitoricam the first two albums were heavy rock, pyromania was pop metal, and hysteria was pop rock, ok, i am lost, they are awesome no matter what kind of rock you want to call them
