all i say that if it was "chechen" we would called it chechen, we can say "ch" :), and i heard that it is kabardian dialect the "shashan" name, what funny is that in 1900's kabardians didn't danced shishan, and they lived close to chechens, while adygs here in diaspora danced it and we came from west circassian far from chechens

well that is the problem, ppl consider it as a chechen dance because the name "sheshen" or "shishan" sounds like "chechen" but the word "shishan" got a meaning in adyga language, it means "horse behavior", in these days the "shishan" dance became so similar to the chechen's dance, just because ppl confuse its name with the chechens,shishan got rules it is not just a dance.

look at the feets of the dancer here, when he dance on the spot, those are totaly chechen leg movements, ours are different
