I-49 is ever finally completely all the way north between Shreveport and KCMO, as I've seen long term proposals to do in LA, AR, and MO via paralleling US 71. Good vid though, as I sure didn't expect you had filmed I-30 in the Texarkana area. Have you filmed the beltway around Txka., yet?
@prfsnlwannabe Thanks! No, I have not. I may or may not have time for that in december on the way up to Illinois, I can also get footage of I-30 again as well.
I am a consultant on a project at Red River Army Depot 12 miles west of Texarkana. Midway between Hooks and New Boston. My Hotel is in Texarkansa TX just off I-30 by the Red Lobster. It has been one year travelling down there. I simply love this town. I love 103.9 KPPG (k-pig). I will be very saddened when the project ends this Dec. I would love to live in Texarkana. I will keep this video as a reminder of my time there. WAMMBA SHUFFLE!
Interesting, I've never been anywhere near Texarkana in my life(closest I've been to here is Memphis, and I've unfortunately yet to see Little Rock or Fayetteville). I agree with Brent, seeing 2 flyover exits is definitely a little strange to see, considering I didn't think Txrka. was quite a big enough city to warrant one.
Then again, I do recall seeing on a map that a beltway was being constructed around it. I do wonder how potentially big both Txrka.(and Shreveport) will get, if(cont'd)
@tresheureuse I don't know I whole lot about the Trucking Companies, however doing some research it looks like it might have been Southern Refrigerated Transport, Inc.
Nice work, you had better conditions than I did when I went through there. Should look much nice when all the construction is finished, love those ramps at US-59.
Interesting. Texas seems to build massive flyover ramps all over the place, and not just in the major cities. There's a gigantic stack in Lubbock on the southside, that seems way overbuilt for the traffic demand.
@FreewayBrent All I can think of is that they are building up the infrastructure in advance. (ie, TX-130 Toll in Austin is way the hell out there, though after it was built the traffic on it has increased due to houses being built near it in Plugerville within 2 years.)
I live in texarkana!

I'm probably sure the truck company pulling a Skyline trailer was from Texarkana. Do you know the trucking company?

wow a lot of construction going on.. what's going on there? widening?
the worked bridge near the end of the video is for the future I-49 interchange.
MazdaStrider 1 year ago
@MazdaStrider Yep. The faster it gets built the better IMO. And it is widening. :)
