I produced this video for Elliot and director Autumn DeWilde. She was a friend and photographer of Elliot and this was her first video. We had an amazing time trying to get the balloon to behave through the streets of Los Feliz and Echo Park. Elliot was quiet and shy. Rest in Peace!

I love Elliott Smith and this video. I was one of the lucky ones to have seen him a few times in Seattle and Portland. Elliott obviously loved the Beatles, both musically and visually, as seen by this video - that last shot he looks like John Lennon. Also, this video is a reference to the 1960s French movie The Red Balloon. If you haven't seen it, I recommend you see it, it's sad and touching, just like Elliott's music.
