Just muffler. Cat is coming soon though, didn't need to be replaced at the time. I don't know yet whether I'm going to go with a stock cat or a free flowing cat. Haven't made up my mind.
@binaryking I have an 06 TJ with 33" and am looking at new mufflers would you suggest the flowmaster 50? It's what I've been looking at and am probably going to get and I've been asking opinions about it.
@jetskidude100 I have a 2000 XJ and I put on a Flowmaster 44, not 40. I'd have to recommend that. It will be louder than the 40, but I like loud, and the HP gains, however minimal, will be better than any other flowmaster. The 44 is the most aggressive sounding and, as such, allows for the most exhaust flow, so it will give you the most HP gains and, in my opinion, the best sound too. Hope that helps.
It's the 50 series Delta Flow. I used to run the 40 but it was a little too efficient. Not enough back pressure. I also have a cold air intake and throttle body spacer.
what size pipe? factory or 2.5"?

@QUADsK8ER97 Flowmaster 44. You also get that nice back fire burble when you rev it or when you downshift...it sounds soooo mean! Hope that helps.

How much of a sound difference was there between the 40 and 50 series?
rradford9 3 years ago
Overall, the 40's have a deeper rumble. The 50's still have the rumble but resonate less.

Sounds Awesome
What Intake and Spacer do you have? I was thinking about doing the Edge Trail Jammer.
I have a 2000XJ with the Flowmaster 50 on it, sounds nice and deep.

When you went to 33s did you remeber to regear to gain back the power and mpg loss from larger tires?
jeep91 4 years ago
It's not a matter of forgetting. :) It's more a matter of money.

no kidding. but if you did forget. . . .you'd have over $500 still in your pocket!

did you notice any mpg increase after you got the cold air intake and throttle body spacer?
mikeybee412 4 years ago
Well I went to 33" tires around the same time, so I would have to say no. ;) Tiny bit more power and a cooler noise though. :)
