  • By the way, the cause of the fire was a car fire that started in the garage and took off. That whole area that got burned was actually an addition, and the rest of the house was untouched. At least that's what my buddy from Orange Truck 1 and Anaheim 8 said.

  • what the FUCK is wrong with u people! this is NOT a laughing matter! morons

  • HaHa

  • A Class I Dept and a Class A attack! Textbook!

  • What do he? the man in white car ...

  • I don't think that was the best job they could've done. Don't know why they stopped short, unless they thought a ladder was coming in from the other direction. I think a 2 1/2" or deck gun to the bulk of the fire with tank water would be the way to go to knock down most of the fire and follow up with the hand lines. The forward lay was good, but evidently the other companies had to park far away, sucks having to hump up that hill and then fight fire.

  • I dont see anything wrong with the house. LOLOLOL

  • Damn I hope everyone was ok, fire department did there thing pretty quickly, I'm used to FDNY also and they would have slid that white car out its spot without any words, kid did look clueless tho lol

  • A well involved fire. A 21/2 line for initial knock down would have been better. I think. I was a fire explorer &I would have done it that way. After fire mostly knocked down use 21/2 for exposer and back coverage. It was good to see Egine 8 making a foeward lay to supply it self. Strange to me how that rigs engines idela up and down so much. The engines I worked on and learned how to pump on did not opperate like this Engine does. nice videos. Stay safe

  • Great video! Pretty standard tactic on a well involved structure, why put water on the house that's already gone? These guys did a great job, may have pulled a 2 1/2 to begin with but initial manpower makes a difference in tactics, and so does an agencies SOG's especially if you have long response times for second in companies. Anaheim fire Isn't a Class 1 ISO agency for no reason...

  • i wish the dumb kid in the white car would just drive into the fire with his dumb look om his face. number 2, im from ny were the fdny is tops, these guys did a great job, there uniforms are ugly as hell but they kicked ass...

  • It all looked like a great job to me. Fully involved house, a quick water supply, hand lines out quickly, water on the fire. a car starting to burn, probably valued at maybe 15K....OR an exposure that can have the best chance at lessening the damage? Tell bozo down several posts to stop watching Mcgiver and getting ideas about how firefighting is really done, in the real world.

  • Listen to the brother down there. He know what he towk about. Assumption make an ass out of you and umption.

  • How can a single family dwelling become fully involved during the day?

  • It just does that. It had been burning inside for some time. How do you explain some bug commercial buildings burning in the mid day? It is the way it is.

  • in a lot of these videos it take the fire truck(s) 1 or 2 min to get there

  • Wow what incompentcy. They were useless at fighting that fire. They could have sprayed the car. They just walked up and down what the heck were those firemen doing.? A layman could have done a better job. Didn't they have water or what. Yikes this scares you. If this is how they handle people's homes on fire. What station was this. ? They need to be trained in fire fighting.

  • @gtgale1 The engine didn't even get there until a minute into it, and setting up several hundred feet of hose with out kinks takes time. Instead of "spraying" an already totaled car, and house they SAVED the neighbors house. Don't armchair quarterbacking something you obviously don't have a clue about.

  • @gtgale1 The did everything right. The problem is know nothings such as yourself ASSume things. How long have you been fighting fires? Never obviously.

  • Damn, that thing is rippin'!

  • Was the bod jumping up n down the owner?

  • For awhile the house was just like, " JUST GONNA STAND THERE AND WATCH ME BURN?! "

  • haha the owner was jumping up and sdown

and funn y whne they thrown the bins

  • haha the owner was jumping up and sdown

  • what street was this

  • lol @ the guy's lack of car-backing skills.

  • i realy like this vidio it shows how these firefighters do there job. from trevor you son :)

  • there was definately enough time to save the car you coward monkeys

  • i remember this

  • Actually..these kind of fires may take hours to get them off :S

  • if a single family dwelling is taking hours to put out your doing something wrong.

  • Very surprised by the performance of this career department. Big fire requires big water. Pull up front and hit with deck gun. Took a while to get water from the hydrant. Should have done better.

  • @tennis1984 It looks like it took about 2 minutes from when they arrived to get water from the hydrant...not great but I've seen worse. Plus it looked like they were more focused on the exposures. IMHO the fire building was a total loss anyway, why waste water and manpower with a deck gun off the bat, especially since the wind was already blowing fire towards the B exposure and their aparatus was on the A/D corner(ish). could have definatley positioned the engine better tho

  • Another youtube video showing when not to pull 1 3/4's. Pull the 2 1/2 and advance INTO the fire. Fire goes out, EXPOSURE problem goes away, then pull the little lines

  • When did this happen?

  • are there people in the house?

  • @noelpy Yes. 5 of them....
