I just watched up to 5:03 and I was stunned,and disgusted,but she got out of the mode smoothly.Still she is the pure dance.She has not need to do fusion or any of that crap.
I do love Dandesh's elegance and amazing shimmies and hipwork. I was suprised though to see the movement at 5.03.... with both legs apart in more of a hiphop style squat, is contrary to 'oriental' movement....mmmm I have seen this move done in more of a lunge leg movement, and less vulgar looking. She can get away with it though!! :-)
The dancers from Alexandria has kept the dance more traditional and"pure",without so much modern,latin or "fakelore" influenses.This is the real Bellydance.I will upload a clip that I shot at the Marriott and some songs from the "Soireé" TV show.
I really love Dandash, she has something special. To really feel the magic in her hypnotizing movements, it´s best to see her live...but those chances don´t come up too often. Thank u for this videoclip!
