If you are a geforce fan, i think the 9600 gt is good for you or the Ati HD 4550, if you have agp port, you should buy a new pc ( new mainboards have very good integratd cards (HD3200), better then the geforce 6200, i know, because that was my vga before. And it's quite cheap. You can go to a local computer (part(s)) store and ask for help,

how? i have a 9800gt(same as 8800gt) and i can run GTA4 on Med/High @ 1920x1080 at a decent ~30fps, there are some slowdowns but it still looks and plays better than the console version, not everyone can afford a 5870 or a GTX295, in Australia the GTX 295 is like 700 bucks, while i can get 8800gt's for FREE, on SLI friendly games 8800gt's are pretty much as powerful as a single GTX260, anyway majority of people have crappy GPUs like 8600gt's

No, its just that hes 3870x2 has a shit bios which makes the cores fuckupp. i had same problem. Then i changed the cards bios and it went from 15 fps to 100.

Got a average of 75-80 fps now on same settings with 4x aa

Technically, all games use all the cores. If you open up the task manager, then go to the processes tab, then go to set affinity, you can see all your CPU cores being used. This also accounts for problems in games that refuse to like dual cores (V-Rally 3, GTA SA will run unnaturally fast, and Battlefront 2 wont even load up on Dual core systems without setting the affinity beforehand).

There are Nvidia optimizations in this game. It was designed to purposely give lower FPS when not run on nvidia hardware. Just rename the GRID.exe to 3dmark06.exe and you'll get double the FPS. Check /watch?v=sodfwAj8NVw.
