great car but the wheels are ugly and small considering the wheel arches are so big so that leaves a big gape between the wheels and arches and another thing is that the interior comes in one color and that's bad cause many people doesn't like black and its modern and sporty the red, maroon,cooper,caramel, burgundy, brown colors.

Wait a minute. A 6.4L V8 with 470hp and 465 ft-lb of torque can only tow 5000 lbs. You have the same tow rating on a 2012 Explorer with its 3.5L V6 that only has 295hp and 255 ft-lb of torque. Hell, the 6.2L V8 on an F-150 pulls 11000 lbs and gets comparable gas mileage.

x5m 0-60 4.5 sec, 1/4 mile 12.8, base price $92,000

I dont think u can justify 30k and if thats the case ill take the jeep and buy a gsxr1000 to smoke your sorry ass and then a trailer to haul it in and still have money left over.

@wsmarines First, the SRT8 needs 4.8 secs from 0-60, not 4.6 as you claimed. Then, the big thing that sets the BMW X5M appart from all other performance SUVs is handling, not straight line performance. The SRT8's handling is not bad for a SUV. But the X5M just kills it and even outhandles many much smaller and lighter cars.

And the 30k you pay more for the X5M are for the luxury and better build quality, where BMW just owns Jeep in every possible way.

@ratmtbolathe X5M Is a beautiful truck, no arguing there and handling wise, well its a bmw..lol..but i have a 2012 jeep srt8..i average 4.5 to 4.8.. and my best run was 4.3 with the best 1/4 time at 12.7..and average 12.9 ..once this thing breaks in a bit it delivers the numbers..it handles excellent ,and and feels great in the corners.and for the price, it looks way better than the BMW to me..but taste is subjective..srt8 was just a better pick for me..

@wsmarines i have the 2012 srt8, the performance numbers i average on a reg basis are 4.6,with a best time of 4.3 .. 1/4 mile 12.9 with a best 12.7...srt8 all the way..and i just flat out love the look over the bmw..the bmw is hot, but for 30k more..keep it..srt8 all the way.and it can pull my shelby to the track lol and i can race them both when i get there...GOD BLESS!
