@Trollhelltown apparently you'll actually see the wood or bamboo get jammed in the guys mouth. the still picture had to be used for the same reason you can't see tits or hear the f'bomb in america on tv.

I don't drink or smoke. Perhaps you could talk about the character van damme plays as a "loner" and how audience members may relate to that, instead.

Ahhh the late eighties/early nineties....a time of tacky action-packed sci-fi films full of really rad hardcore techno-gear, gender stereotypes, cheesy one-liners and lots of raw killing and explosions!!!! What more could disaffected angsty young alienated suburban males possibly desire to brighten their spirits! ...Well maybe a blowjob from the local valley girl, a case of beer, and pack of smokes while he watches the movie!!! LOL!
