  • Hello,

I have just purchased one of the 5770's for my 2008 mac pro. I have it running now, but it only works on 2 of my displays that are coming out of the mini display (converting to DVI) the other monitor comes out of the DVI and convert to VGA (old monitor) - but this one doesn't work.

Did you have to install drivers?

    Thanks

    Gafyn

    Cool set-up BTW.

  • @GafynLloyd No, there were not special drivers. Make sure your Mini-DP > DVI connectors are active single-link adapters.

  • You have a f*ck load of money

  • pretty beastly dude

  • That is sick mate.

    MacMike1000

  • seems like a waste

why didnt you buy a PowerColor AX6870

    it has 6 display ports

  • @CRAKIZGOOD It wasn't available when I bought these cards, over six months ago. Apple had released support for the 6000-series in their drivers. And, you need an Apple BIOS on the card for it to work. PC-flashed cards won't work in a Mac.

  • nice but 3x 2560x1600 would be better choice

  • @club4ghz Agreed, but they would also cost about 3x the amount of the five panels.

  • @WSGF yeah i would be lost in 5 monitors anyway 3 is the best for me

  • are those lcds? or led lcds?

becasue if they're just regular lcds doesn't it get kinda warm in that area?

  • @CerealzTheDude They are LCDs. They can get warm, but so does the rest of the equipment in my office. And, I've got good ventilation.
