@AcousyJoe Ya sort of - LOL I am think I'm going to get them on iTunes or something... just havent looked into the details to see what it takes yet... Which one did you like most? -Phil
@Chibiharlz101 I havent posted just a video of that song yet... its one I wrote called "LeAnna's Waltz" - I will be posting it sometime in the near future =) So SUB and you'll catch it then, I'll probably do a "how to" on it as well cause I have had a lot of comments asking about it!
@Chibiharlz101 Haven't ever done tabs for them... I'm getting a MIDI guitar set up so I can get it all transcribed out... First song was called "LeAnna's Waltz" - Im thinking of doing that one as a video of its own =)
@flatpikinguitar It is a LR BAGGS RTS 2 with remote vol control - ITS A GREAT PICKUP in the McP's - you should ALSO check out the MiniFlex Mic system Model 4 - WOW! I am considering upgrading to one of those in my McP =)
@dejablueguitar yes it is. and so is the miniflex line. i havent heard the model 4 yet but plan to as soon as i find someone that has one. how does the baggs work for heavy flatpicking like bluegrass lead style?
@Fatambrogin Yep... they ARE find guitars! LOVE LOVE LOVE EM!!! - I own 2 now... and yes those tunes are ORIGINALS - I plan to post them individually so stay tuned! =P
I prefer the Batson sound more. I didn't think I would, it seems to have a fuller sound. Do you have a mike near the bass in the face port on the Batson? I still think I would buy a McPherson, but I do think in this video that the Batson wins.
I like the McPherson MG-4.5 it sounds more open and crisp. I sat down and listed to them back to back and I would have to say the the bass in the face may be nice for the player but what about the audience? The Batson sounded kinda muffled.
VERY ASTUTE OBSERVATION MY FRIEND! =P I had to ask that myself... cause playin guitar is NOT just for me... when I perform, I'd RATHER the best sound go to the LISTENER!
Fast, responsive, the guitar itself is quite heavy being made of Ebony... it's got a very SMOOTH ROUND TONE... the Ebony/Rosewood combo is mellow and natural. Can be calm n quiet or made to ROAR!
2 word description = EXTREMELY BALANCED
The fit and finish is something akin to a FINE GERMAN MACHINE... Attn to detail is AMAZING on these McPhersons... recently bought ANOTHER one too... I think you'd have to pay in excess of 12-15K to find anything better!
MACASSAR is the best sustain tonewood all time,

Very transparent pickup. Only slightly thinner or more trebley. Only a slight difference.
DiamondUrine 9 months ago
That pickup is amazingly transparent... didnt really notice the switches...

Trace Bundy turned me onto these guitars. Thanks for this demo. Wish I had an extra 5 grand laying around haha.

GLAD you liked it... you can pick up a used one on eBay for about 3-4K... but still ... it IS a lot of money!
dejablueguitar 1 year ago
Oh man, that's slightly more affordable haha. I still don't deserve one yet however.
