@agge141 Wrong. God-Splitter was imbued and forged with a fragment of the Wailing Doom. In the novel, Gabriel strikes Sindri with the combined might of the Astronomicon, the chants of the Eldar, and his own righteous fury. He completely tears the Daemon Prince in half, reducing his body to ashes.

Nothing is left of him, and no mention is ever made in the ensuing novels or video games. I believe Sindri was destroyed forever.

Further, it IS possible to kill a Daemon. Difficult, but possible.

@NicholasGeschke I haven't read the novel but I know that ingame he just laughs and disappears when you slay him. Besides it doesn't matter if a daemon prince's body is destroyed as their soul is still in the warp and thus will just "respawn" after a thousand years.

Just because he isn't mentioned doesn't mean he is permanently dead.

But maybe it is true that with a certain ritual like you describe happened in the novel Gabriel was able to destroy his very essence like Big E did with Horus.

The plan was to fall to chaos to help mercy kill humanity... And everything else too. The Alpha legion have plenty of possessed and Princes, just very few packs of daemons. That is mainly lacking the abilityt to sustain actual daemons, being undercover so much.

And always, there's 99% chance the enemy you're fighting is Alpha Legion in disgiuse. And there's an equal chance yours is too.

Winter Assault: "meh" storyline, same as original in every other way.

Soulstorm: Like Dark Crusade... but almost no storyline, and less fun overall

The Daemonhammer is by far my favorite weapon in the 40K universe. Not only it powerful in battle, but it also is a sign of great skill- Only one who has killed a Greater Daemon is fit to use it. Plus, I just really like warhammers for some reason.

Sindri really makes this scene, but the pacing of his transformation is quite poor.

If they'd given the voice actor (easily the game's best, since he isn't a meme yet) more to work with and improved the graphics somewhat then the polish would really shine.

Considering the relatively small scale here and even smaller scale in the sequel, Dawn of war's graphics are pretty shoddy.

in dark crusade and soulstorm u carnt summon the bloodthirster from the lord any more but u still can from the sorceror and the champions but u can only summon the daemon prince from the lord ether way u get 2 greater daemons daemon prince at 5000 hp and the bloodthirster at 12000 but the daemon prince in the original dow is at 10000
