@fattony252 its ideas like this that make this country so pussified. I find the result of the crash to have been impressive considering that it hit a pickup. Having hit a car would have been much better and might have resulted in the passenger's of the Ford surviving. It's obvious that the high faced truck impacted the top of the car greatly.
hmm i dont think having seat belts in this case for the Ford drivers would help at all. its the steering column thats really the killer. all seat belts would do is make sure the driver of the Ford was hit right on from the steering column.

Thats sad .... Poor elderly and Poor Model A .... looking a the truck though it didnt go down without a fight... I have another theory to ..... The Guy driving it was a soldier in WWII and the Jap Nissan sought to cause trouble ...smh
Everybody needs to start using better driving skills, be prepared, watch out for the other guy. Slow down for intersections, watch to see if some one is coming, if you can't see, slow down even more, never over drive your ability to stop, or your headlights. NEVER EVER BLIND others at night, YOU MIGHT GET HIT HEAD ON. 55 watts per light in traffic for 2 head lights, MAXIMUM. MANY tests years ago, have proved our eyes get screwed up BAD with brighter lights than that in our faces at night.
EX POST FACTO, is illegally forcing belts to be installed. From what I saw, only a race type belt and seat system could have made any different out come. I have seen as many if not more people killed due to seat belts. don't forget the family of 5 on I-5 in Seattle all burned to death in a simple accident, and people who got burned trying to cut the belts to get them out. And other roll of the road into ditches full of water and drown because of the belts.
90% of the people that commented on this video are prejudice, they automatically assume that the truck driver was being reckless, and there was no way that the ford driver was being reckless. @BC050809 I did read what you posted, and also most of the other posts. I guess I piled them all together and it seemed many posts had negative comments regarding "jap" trucks. Or how if you work on jap crap or own a "ricer" you should be hung. So my post was not pointing straight at you even though it did appear that way. The Classic car was very nicely restored and it's a terrible shame that lives where lost and lives destroyed by a mistake. Nothing personal towards you.
@BC050809 Question? what difference does it make whether it is a Nissan, Ford, Chevy, GMC or Toyota? or any other make or model vehicle? My point is that "driver" made the mistake, not that "Nissan" So why all the hate for what the guy was driving? Would he have been a better person had he been driving a Ford or Chevy? No, he would still have made the same mistake and killed that couple. Shut up about the vehicle and remember that people died and THATS what matters in this story!
I've seen these model a and model t cars driving in our area of AZ. Going like 22 miles an hour (or less) in a 45 zone. An accident waiting to happen. Not saying thats what caused this accident though. RIP.
@utuberevlimitracing I'm bit conserned about your mental health. Death of two people is no laughing matter, wether they were crossing a street, riding a barand new 2010 model motorcyle with no passive saftety or driving a veteran car.
The old POS cant compete on modern roadways. aaaaaawhen henry made the thing only Chicken plates were allowed back in the day. He proved somthing that the Model A did not have a crush zone. The old POS relly collapsed on impacto
i swear i cried seeing that beautiful piece of history be smashed by an ignorant couple in a stupid japanese truck. the model a should count as vehicular homicide.
From the looks of the steering wheel, I would bet that the driver died instantly from major chest injuries causing trauma to the internal organs. The passenger may have died from a concussion caused from slamming her head into the windshield. Very sad indeed, these types of injuries were common in the early days before we had seatbelts and airbags. If they had installed seat/shoulder belts in this car, they may very well have survived this accident. Of course, being elderly didn't help!
It sucks that the people died in the model a, And I really think that old A held up better than the truck, the radiator and the hood were pushed back and that was about it.
When that Model A was produced, it was a privilege to drive a car, and people actually took pride in driving and their ability to do so. Unfortunately nowadays anyone can get one and usually end up being careless drivers. Very sad.
@NathansBackwoods I got respect for the dead but not for the Model A hence I said Titan wins in referring to the Model A vs Titan collision. It never had anything to do with the dead.
@Konformation07, you did say it in a way of not caring about the people that died, you said (titan wins!) Exclamation point implies you are excited for the car that won, it was rude the way you said it, you used this as an example of saying model a cars are not safe, you could have said it more better, it was disrespectful to the people that died.
Its a shame there were no seat belts in that old a, it held up pretty good, if there were seat belts there probably would have been a better outcome. its a shame people had to lose there lives, its sad for the old car too.
r.i.p to the two elderly people, always a shame when people die because of lame asholes not doing the right thing, and most times its always the innocent who gets it?????such bullshit this day and age with its gutless , spineless approach from the protecting us LAW to the assholes all over the world who take out innocent people, its occuring at an alarming rate and still these assholes get away with a slp on the wrist,,,insane,

@spikonaleash It probably was a woman, who was texting, trying to put on make-up, and chug some starbucks all at the same time. Also, thats a Nissan, not a Toyota.
This is just so sad. Because its not only apparent that there were no seat belts or any sort of safety features in the Ford Model A, but the pickup also had a serious weight advantage as well. Which made the impact even worse for the people in the Model A.
I like how all of you stupid fucks are talking shit about the truck. so fucking dumb. bet you anything whoever was driving the truck is american. fucking idiots. yeah the origin of the truck was the cause of the old couples death. you red necks are stupid as fuck. btw rip model and and passengers
@ MrShadowFoot i dont think you understand my comment. i'm saying the people that are commenting that the origin of the nissan titan is the reason why they crashed into the old couple are stupid.
The Model A came out better, you could probably drive that out of there. That Toyota piece of **** in which that MURDERER drove is probably trashed. I hope he gets charged with murder.
Second of all, it was a Nissan, not a Toyota. Third of all, how can you call the driver of the Nissan a murderer? Accident's do happen, and happen everyday. To call a driver who just simply failed to yield a murderer is like calling someone who drivers 5mph over the limit a terrorist. See how stupid that sounds, yeah, thats what you sounded like.
Seat belts hah I have two model t's and a model A and they dont go above 35 I could hit a tree head on at full speed and walk away laughing this was obviously the titan drivers fault
The owner of the Model-A upgraded it to have blinking hazard lights. He should have spent the money on some seat-belts first. Also, the hood should have had safety catches installed to prevent it from being driven through the windshield.
i am a man and not a Coward.Safety straps wouldent work on this cars hood .any way . the man in the titan was probally drunk whin he pulled out in front of them. and as for the seatbelts they wouldnt have helpet in this case dumb ass just look at the dame video .And i allso have had a few of model a's thay have A top speed is around 50 miles an hour Dube ASS You Are PATHETIC
Yea, thats why the people in the Model A died and the Titan didn't. It has crumple zones to absorb the impact, the Model A doesn't all the energy is transferred to the occupants instead of being absorbed by the vehicle.
damn nice car and to be ended by an idiot like this. not to mention the couple inside. i hope i is in jail for the rest of his life for 3 counts of motor vehicular homicide. The two people and the car.
Fucking idiots in their new jap junk. It's a shame to see people lose their lives over such an ignorant mistake. Destroying such a beautiful piece of history is enough to shed a tear. Fuck ups like this only give congress more of a reason to ban or tighen up regulations on vintage vehicles which destroys the purpose of owning/ driving a vintage vehicle.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Jap junk? Japanese dont make junk, older toyotas had the most reliable engines, they also are safer (some vehicles) and usually toyotas have resale values, but american cars/trucks are still good, but id take a Tundra or Titan over a Silverado or Ram or f-150 or such.
@ManxAce500 you know, you americans are lucky that you can still drive model A and model T fords, in here we cant drive car that has no seatbelt so 1971 lada's and other such even from 1980's are banned from the roads.
@MsCrappants even in 1980 not many cars had airbags, but if im correct, seatbelts came somewhere in 1966 or something like that. so most of them pre 1980s cars are banned because of it, no seatbelts! Which is sad as hell.
@wolfeste1n No pre-1980s cars are banned in the US. Seat belts did become federally mandated in the mid-1960s. Vehicles built prior are exempt from the seat belt laws and not required to have seat belts.
Ahh.. this is well before the time of any safety standards, crumple zones or collapsible steering columns. All in all, I have to say the Model A didn't pretty damn well.
From the looks of it, the Nissan was in the opposing lane, making a left onto the street with the stop sign. The A hit the titan in the right corner of its nose, when the titan pulled in front of the A and then got spun around clock-wise as the titan spun counter clock-wise. This idiot killed someones parents; grand-parents :, (
Not in this state--frame repairs including sectioning and straightening are legal. Under certain circumstances an "S" title-meaning rebuilt from salvage is issued. It is interesting how the right front suspension of the Nissan just folded up--typical weak Japanese steel.
Wonder how long it took them to find the battery. They were looking for a long time. Shame to see a restored car destroyed and 2 innocent people killed. Just glad it did not catch fire seeing the hood did so much damage above the fuel tank.
k this is why noone buys nissans god nice break an amazing model a and just think that people love nissan trucks. god wtf...wanna punch you in the face
Here, as long as you have the money to fix it, you can, and anyone who has the money to have that nice a Model A will be able to afford to fix it...providing they survive in the first place.
Copra and Chicle Drab with Tacoma cream wheels and pin stripe. Beautiful car (formaly). That car is pure steel, so it must have been a hell of an impact. Glad nobody was in the rumble seat.
Truly a gut-wrenching vid.. definitely a tragedy. The total A-hole driving the truck should have been convicted of three counts of Murder - one each for the elderly couple (God rest their souls) and a third for destroying that formerly-beautiful Model A.. An elderly couple go out to enjoy themselves in their beloved antique car and end up dead.. even the worst American prison is too good for the piece of trash responsible for this tragedy - he deserves a fate far worse..
At least they died together, without a prolonged death. And props for taking out the ole Model A and driving it to the car show, not trailering it. Although the instances might have been drastically different if they had.
Damn VX2100DV, youve got to have one depressing ass job :(, i freelanced thigns like this for local papers and law enforcement, id have nightmares from hell, and im in my mid 30's mpw amd i still ahve em once in a while
It can be. Sometimes it is broken up by events that are pure comedic stupidity. Other times events so horrible that yes they do bother me. But, I must realize and remember there was absolutely nothing I could do to prevent these events with outcomes like this.
you people are a bunch a morons for even mentioning that the vehicle they drove had no safety futures. The point is PEOPLE HAVE DIED you fucking idiots!
Their vehicle is a lot safer than a motorcycle. So go ahead and start accusing the whole bike-riding world they are NOT SAFE ENOUGH. retards!!!
paprobie...so glad you could find humor in this situation. Two elderly people died in this accident. Try to show a little respect. What if it had been someone in your family?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
It woulnd have been, no one in my family drives ford products, we are smarter than that. If you do then I feel sorry for you, though with the economy the way it is right now, now might be the time to trade the thing in and go Jap. Honda and Toyota are two of the safest cars on the road today.
I'm not talking about what make of car they were driving. What does that have to do with anything? They died. Have some respect. These people were someone's parents, grandparents, brother, sister?? They had a family. Don't try to trivialize it by making it about what kind of car they were driving. Grow up.
Accidents happen. You know the risk when you drive a modern car and don't wear your safety belt, and you must know the risk when you drive a car that doesn't have them. An old car is not going to protect you like a new one. It was an accident, the driver of the Titan had no say so in what the other car happened to be. Give it a break.
So, basically what you're saying is that it is not the pick-up truck driver's fault that the two elderly people died, even though the truck driver carelessly turned in front of their car causing the 'accident'?
What I am saying is things have changed a bit in the nearly 100 years since the Model A. If you're going to drive a car that's a century old on the highway with newer, faster, safer cars you KNOW THE RISK. It's called an accident for a fucking reason. If the woman in the Titan had rammed them intentionally, I might be on board with the rest of you fucktards that think she should be shot. However, the crash would have been survivable had they driven a car with basic safety features. PERIOD.
First of all, I never said ANYTHING about ANYONE being shot. I don't care how old the car was, there wouldn't have been an 'ACCIDENT' had the other driver not turned in front of them. I believe the driver of the truck should be held responsible for their carelessness. I'm sure you would feel the same, had it been someone you loved or cared about that had gotten killed. Why are you being so immature and calling people dirty names for being upset by these people getting killed?
I agree with both of you that its a tragidy that the elderly people died. But they took the chance of getting killed when they took a vehicle out on the road that has no safety devices. BuggsBonnie just quit trying to make everyone that dies someone elses fault. Its like riding a motorcycle without a helmet getting into an accident and dying their fault should have worn a helmet theyre not going to sue the maker of the motorcycle cause you carelessly rode without a helmet. Then again you may?

The Model A came out better, you could probably drive that out of there. That Toyota piece of **** in which that MURDERER drove is probably trashed. I hope he gets charged with murder.

indestructableforce 5 months ago
@indestructableforce

Seat belts hah I have two model t's and a model A and they dont go above 35 I could hit a tree head on at full speed and walk away laughing this was obviously the titan drivers fault
otoole420 2 years ago
The owner of the Model-A upgraded it to have blinking hazard lights. He should have spent the money on some seat-belts first. Also, the hood should have had safety catches installed to prevent it from being driven through the windshield.

Wonkawillie77 2 years ago
Yea, thats why the people in the Model A died and the Titan didn't. It has crumple zones to absorb the impact, the Model A doesn't all the energy is transferred to the occupants instead of being absorbed by the vehicle.

Jap junk? Japanese dont make junk, older toyotas had the most reliable engines, they also are safer (some vehicles) and usually toyotas have resale values, but american cars/trucks are still good, but id take a Tundra or Titan over a Silverado or Ram or f-150 or such.

johncenayoll 1 year ago
@ManxAce500 you know, you americans are lucky that you can still drive model A and model T fords, in here we cant drive car that has no seatbelt so 1971 lada's and other such even from 1980's are banned from the roads.
wolfeste1n 11 months ago
@wolfeste1n
why are pre 1980 cars banned
MsCrappants 5 months ago
@MsCrappants even in 1980 not many cars had airbags, but if im correct, seatbelts came somewhere in 1966 or something like that. so most of them pre 1980s cars are banned because of it, no seatbelts! Which is sad as hell.
wolfeste1n 5 months ago
@wolfeste1n No pre-1980s cars are banned in the US. Seat belts did become federally mandated in the mid-1960s. Vehicles built prior are exempt from the seat belt laws and not required to have seat belts.

Why do you all whine about the Nissan truck?? Did you see the accident?? and was it the Nissan´s foult??
sajmens 2 years ago
Not in this state--frame repairs including sectioning and straightening are legal. Under certain circumstances an "S" title-meaning rebuilt from salvage is issued. It is interesting how the right front suspension of the Nissan just folded up--typical weak Japanese steel.

Wonder how long it took them to find the battery. They were looking for a long time. Shame to see a restored car destroyed and 2 innocent people killed. Just glad it did not catch fire seeing the hood did so much damage above the fuel tank.

It woulnd have been, no one in my family drives ford products, we are smarter than that. If you do then I feel sorry for you, though with the economy the way it is right now, now might be the time to trade the thing in and go Jap. Honda and Toyota are two of the safest cars on the road today.
PaProbie 3 years ago
I'm not talking about what make of car they were driving. What does that have to do with anything? They died. Have some respect. These people were someone's parents, grandparents, brother, sister?? They had a family. Don't try to trivialize it by making it about what kind of car they were driving. Grow up.
BuggsBonnie 3 years ago
Your a Cock!
DodgeChallengerules 3 years ago 2
Accidents happen. You know the risk when you drive a modern car and don't wear your safety belt, and you must know the risk when you drive a car that doesn't have them. An old car is not going to protect you like a new one. It was an accident, the driver of the Titan had no say so in what the other car happened to be. Give it a break.
Mlowery85 3 years ago
So, basically what you're saying is that it is not the pick-up truck driver's fault that the two elderly people died, even though the truck driver carelessly turned in front of their car causing the 'accident'?
BuggsBonnie 3 years ago
What I am saying is things have changed a bit in the nearly 100 years since the Model A. If you're going to drive a car that's a century old on the highway with newer, faster, safer cars you KNOW THE RISK. It's called an accident for a fucking reason. If the woman in the Titan had rammed them intentionally, I might be on board with the rest of you fucktards that think she should be shot. However, the crash would have been survivable had they driven a car with basic safety features. PERIOD.
Mlowery85 3 years ago
First of all, I never said ANYTHING about ANYONE being shot. I don't care how old the car was, there wouldn't have been an 'ACCIDENT' had the other driver not turned in front of them. I believe the driver of the truck should be held responsible for their carelessness. I'm sure you would feel the same, had it been someone you loved or cared about that had gotten killed. Why are you being so immature and calling people dirty names for being upset by these people getting killed?
BuggsBonnie 3 years ago
I agree with both of you that its a tragidy that the elderly people died. But they took the chance of getting killed when they took a vehicle out on the road that has no safety devices. BuggsBonnie just quit trying to make everyone that dies someone elses fault. Its like riding a motorcycle without a helmet getting into an accident and dying their fault should have worn a helmet theyre not going to sue the maker of the motorcycle cause you carelessly rode without a helmet. Then again you may?
