I love my bb bold 9900. One of the reasons why bb is lagging behind in apps is because the apps have to work for all the bb smartphones- which are all very different. All iPhones are the same and all androids are similar to one another.
bbm isn't really that much of a big deal anymore with all the cross-platform IM apps out like whatsapp, touch, etc. I'll probably switch to iphone from my blackberry when i upgrade
The iphone is made up of apps. That's it. The app developers are the ones keeping apple alive, not apple. iDevices are multimedia devices, while Blackberry is strictly PRODUCTIVITY. As long as people keep buying into apple, they will keep saying it's "Better." Blackberry is truly better.

I totally loved this comparison between the blackberry torch 9860 and the iphone 4s because I am about to get a new phone and I am currently using a blackberry, which I adore, but some friends of mine have been telling me to switch from bb to apple, and I am not sure about it! Iphones are much more expensive than bb's and most of people are using the pin texting, which is really cool and viable in order to comunicate with each other, thoughm whatsapp is becoming popular, though PINning is d bst.

The 9860 makes me want to stay with BlackBerry. It offers everything I want, and since I'm not an app junkie, I have no real need to go to iphone, especially if the Android app rumours are true. Only issue will be how long its going to take BB to get on LTE. That being said, my iPhone experience has only been limited to a 3G so I haven't ruled out a 4s or waiting for the 5.
By Far Blackberry is #1, apps make the iPhone the iPhone, Android just has cooler phones that run its operating system. Blackberry gets THINGS DONE!! pairing with the Playbook makes it even better. Email, BBM, Calender, Multi-tasking is better on the Blackberry then any OS out there. RIM has the best Security for its phones. About the wifi issue. This can depend on how your wifi is set up. Maybe it's limited to a number of devices... sometimes problems in IT are just so "simple" (= stupid) :-)

I am about 99% sure RIM will the keyboard layout of the Torch 9850/9860 in future updates. In my opinion, the Torch (and other BlackBerrys) are the most reliable and secured smartphones out there, unlike the iPhone and the Android devices. Most people don't see how important security is when choosing smartphones. And security is one of RIM's main focuses on making their products, and I think that is the reason why apps are limited on the BlackBerry, security and reliablity issues.

I'm getting the 9900, but if I was gonna get one of these it would be the blackberry straight away. Not only does it look nicer (in my opinion), but if it plummets a couple of inches and lands on the corner the screen won't break into a gazillion little pieces.....unlike the iphone.....

@samstar5782 yea i have a 9810 (blackberry torch)on my opinion i love it ....you should check it out its in grey and white(: theres a 9860 thats all touch screen, but i like the unique blackberry" QWERTY" keyboard on the 9810

Thank you for your review. I wasn't overly familiar with the Blackberry Torch prior to this and was trying to decide between the iPhone 4s and Torch 9860. I am a big App user, and have a number of Apple products so think that despite the iPhone not behaving re the Wifi issue, I'll lean towards it too. Many thanks again.

Ha ha ha ha!!!!!! That was so perfect.... wifi fail! And his reaction was to mad swipe the iphone like that was going to fix the problem....he breaks to fix the problem, comes back and the iphone still doesnt work.... lol! #bblove 9860 is awesome! I love mine!

i really love my Blackberry 9860 it is a great phone !!! i have had i lot of blacks, and this is the best of all of them (and about the apps, it works great with the appworld apps)

Blackberry's are CRAP!!! They always have software problems. And people buy the BB only for their BBM, without it BB's are BIGGER CRAP!!! On the other hand iPhones are plain but FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

I have Sprint, and im up for an upgrade, im debating if I should go with the iphone, or the tourch, or bold 9900 series. I like how you said your wi-fi is not working for your iphone, just shows how over rated the iphone is. Im going for the tourch

I am about 99% sure RIM will the keyboard layout of the Torch 9850/9860 in future updates. In my opinion, the Torch (and other BlackBerrys) are the most reliable and secured smartphones out there, unlike the iPhone and the Android devices. Most people don't see how important security is when choosing smartphones. And security is one of RIM's main focuses on making their products, and I think that is the reason why apps are limited on the BlackBerry, security and reliablity issues.

I'm getting the 9900, but if I was gonna get one of these it would be the blackberry straight away. Not only does it look nicer (in my opinion), but if it plummets a couple of inches and lands on the corner the screen won't break into a gazillion little pieces.....unlike the iphone.....
