Oh goodness, I can relate completely. I have ADHD and hear just about EVERYTHING that happens in class. But I'm also one who just can't sit still. No matter what. I twirl my pencil, tap my fingers, wiggle my toes...tap my feet...When you did the little bit about trying to block everything out and then hearing EVERYTHING, all I could think of was "That's me on a daily basis in my classes."

Uh I KNOW!!! Suddenly it's like you can hear every noise including the knee jiggling person behind you who is moving the ground ever so slightly... It's hard enough as it is to concentrate in an exam! Hah especially with earthquake aftershocks ;-P

Hahaha, I've had that happen. We were taking EOCT's which in America are End Of Course Tests and we have 2 sections and about 50-60 minutes on each section and I finished early. We still had 40 minutes left and this guy behind me falls asleep. He snores. Loudly. Then others started tapping their fingers or feet and one person kept erasing and then tapping their pencil. I was sitting there like are you kidding me?!?!

Haha this made me laugh :D especially because im one of the first people to finish, and the thing that gets me is people crossing something out, and writing it again, crossing it out, and etc. It's so annoying!!!

At that point I personally would've had such a breakdown that i'd ask to leave the room and go get a drink or go to the bathroom or something because they would be so dang distracting that in my mind I just wouldn't handle it well anymore!

I know exactly what you mean, but i may be one of those annoying people too, sometimes.

for starters, i am a fellow tricher, but we all know you cant take a tangle into an exam. its either my hair or pen i twiddle with. and pens are really easy to drop. I actually got my pen confiscated once id finished the exam once. secondly, i subconsciously draw on the tables [usually with the lid on] which gets me told off, also attracting attention.

i just realized why nobody likes to sit next to me. i have tap on the table almost all the time(my own little neurotic twitch) or els i'll really stressed out and nervous, but that must be really dam annoying for the people in my class. all they here is "tick" "tack" "tick" "tack" "tick" "tack" "tick" "tack" and that will go on and on. i always knew peopel where getting irritated by the sound and most of the time they got angry at me(they don't do that anymore) i'll go on in the next comment

omg I know what you mean. A girl in my class was listening to her walkman and talking on her phone at the same time during class. I was trying to listen to the teacher's lecture, but it was kinda hard with music playing in the background. Yeah her music was loud enough for me to hear. So annoying. We had to take four exams at four hours each for a 100 ton Masters licenses. Susie and I studied together and after each test poor Susie got sick it was so stressful. Navigation was really hard but we both passed. I did enjoy studying with her. We had a chart set up on the kitchen table and if you passed that table you had to run a navigation test question. We did flash cards and asked each other questions out of book. Sometimes we were up till 2 am. I enjoyed the time we spent together.

Lol I know how that feels - we had almost a full HOUR to go after our ICT exam and everyone was jsut sort of doing their own thing making as much noise as possible. A couple of guys even had their own little competition of who can anyone the moderator first by seeing who can cough the loudest XP
