@benchetrit11 The opening is "1033 North West Knoll Drive, CA 90069, 659-7812-310 (the address, postal zone reference and fax number of Le Park Suites, West Hollywood, California), then "310-855-8888" (the telephone number) then "cheap...cheap...cheap". "I've got Trimm Trabb like the flash boys have". Damon's got what he wanted (the Adidas trainers he wanted at school and the fame he's got now), but he stays in random appartments on his own..."it's just the way it is".
@benchetrit11 I'm not sure what the letters at 1:36 refer to, but yeah, I think the song's about getting what you've been craving and working for and when you get it after you've had it a while it becomes the norm and you want something else...so it's just a continuos chase for something. Blandly reading the address is probably like "wow...I'm all adult and stay in apartments on tour in CA , so how come I still feel like the kid I was at school wanting Trimm Trabbs like the cool kids had?..."
@SexPistolsArchive it's about heroin, the 'flashboys' were high-financeers who were into heroin in the late 80's and early 90's. same with caramel and beetlebum. and his break-up, obviously.
I love the break-down... I mean, I love the whole entire song, but that part is my fave.
