  • @eternoc70 I actually got me a Schecter Hellraiser deluxe. Retail 500 but I got it "used". Used because this thing did not even have one scratch on it yet I got it for only $330. This baby screams! I love it.

  • Nice video, man. I love my Hellraiser; got it a few years ago. I've probably purchased 5 guitars in-between and traded them all in on others trying to find something as fantastic as the Hellraiser. Glad I bought it, I'll never look back. Schecter player for life here.

  • Just got this in white and I totally recommend it for anyone! I got mine for 400 used and it's the best purchase I've ever made!

  • i've seen a lot of different models everywhere but most of the one's i have played at guitar center are all pretty good, i am wondering around how much i should spend because i dont wanna spend too much money on a guitar but not too much either.

around how much would be a good amount?

  • It's pretty. lol

  • i have this guitar and a line 6 spyder 75 watt. it is a godly guitar. its beautiful, fun to play, amazing tone, and great for any style of music. the EMG pickups are fantastic. oh and btw nice review.

  • Does the one with tremelo stay in tune and just as good?

  • @TheNikolaishapland yes it does dive bomb for days !!and let go of the bar and it goes right back in tune!!! i love mine !!

  • @TheNikolaishapland I don't have this particular guitar, but any guitar with a PROPERLY set up tremolo should stay in tune better than guitars without.

  • I've got the exact same stuff :p

    same guitar+amp

    amp sucks indeed

    Guitar is epic ^^

I'm looking for a secondhand peavey to replace my crappy roland

  • Dammit, I've always wanted a Hellraiser. Looks freaking beautifull and plays even better!

  • @daniyalahmed97 As the Hellraiser c-1 FR is 899 retail, 250 off used is fair.

  • @darklord2626 i got mine off of craigslist in seattle, wa for $500 and i think that is a fair price!! do not go any higher if you can help it hope this helps

    .

  • this + fullbore metal pedal = orgasm.

  • I'm buying a schecter hellraiser c1 fr

  • @daniyalahmed97 Okej

  • Is 650 dollars a good price for a used one?

  • @daniyalahmed97 depands on which brand you are buying??

  • The only thing I would change is the fretboard. It has a rosewood fretboard, but I would like it better if it was ebony. But the rosewood fretboard is one of the best I have seen.

  • This is hands down one of the finest production guitars for the money. It can play anything, but metal is what it was built for. It has EMG active pups, so you know it will scream. And believe me, it does scream! I have one and it's one of the best guitars I have played, I have been playing for 30 years. The clean tones from the EMGs are brighter and less muddy than other pups, but I wouldn't say they suck. An amp adjustment may be needed to get the tone you want.

  • EMG sucks on clean tones but are great for distortion

  • @grigno97 i disagree. at least with this guitar in my expieriexnce it has some nice clean tones and gives you a lot to choose from with the splitters. the emgs do have amazing distorted sounds and are close to unbeatable, but the clean sounds can be nice too if you know what you are doing.

  • Trained classically as ican see just like steve vai

  • whit EMGs even a squire can sound awesome

    schecter! ROCKS

  • great review, I'll probably get this guitar :)

  • God has spoken and cussed me out!

  • you are to awesome on the gutair

  • ...too much talking!

  • This is an amazing review! Very well done. I'm glad you chose to use the Roland Cube instead of a super expensive tube half-stack like most reviewers do... 'cause that way the poor folks like me can hear how good the guitar sounds like with average, everyday amps :D

  • what a champ, great review :P

  • Schecter kicks ass. Own 6 of them.

  • this man looks like LEX LUTHOR from smallville

  • I've been visiting the local guitar store playing everything in their store for the last 3 months , usually staying there for 4 hours or until closing.

After all the different axes I've tried the Hellraiser solo 6 keeps ending up my favorite because of the wide variety of tones I can get from it.

    Awesome guitar series

  • Ive got the 7 string Floyd Rose version of this guitar, absolute beast of a guitar. You can get any kind of tone you want out of it. I had a friend over for a jam session on his les paul, my c-7 blew his gibby away tone-wise.

  • Play metal on that guitar , that is all that we want to hear.

  • great review and one hell of a guitar (i own one :)) Not sure about the octaves comments though, people who dont even know what octaves and frets are, aren't 'worthy' of getting this elegant beast!! As this one can do it all!!

  • Whats the difference in the Special version ???

  • Comment removed

  • This guitar or a ESP LTD EC-1000?

  • @tombayly13

    Schecter for sure.

  • Question for all. Yeah so it's a metal guitar. But in it's clean setting, would it be suitable to accompany an acoustic guitar? Say like in an open mic gig type setting. I know people would prefer their fenders and PRS for that kind of thing, but say I want it for it's metal capabilities, but I also want to play more chilled type styles - would this guitar do it good? Jazzy and bluesy leads, and simple chord strumming? Anyone have any experience with this guitar like this?

  • @harmonicminorshred

Use your coil taps, you can get any kind of tone with it.

    Check patches91 video.

  • Nice video mate! Been playing this guitar i think (7 string) for nearly 4 years and it's just SUPERB in terms of its versatility...

Well If anyone's interested... I have some sort of tracks of me playing it on my channel (albeit not the greatest recording quality from my bedroom ((...Yes I am one of these losers))...) Anyway... Jolly good guitar! That's all.

  • I just got this guitar: AMAZING. It's only 800 euros, and the quality, sound and playability you get for that money you WILL NOT find at ANY other brand. This seriously is the best guitar I've ever played, even better than guitars over 1500 euros.

  • Wow, that guitar is PERFECT. Except I need a Floyd Rose in it.

  • @xKtulu

Check out the FR version :)

  • What's the actual difference between the Hellraiser and the Hellraiser Extreme

  • @alkleiza1995

It has a longer neck that a 7 string or Baritone guitar would have.

Personally, I think if you're not detuning, just get the regular Hellraiser, but if you're going 5 semitones down or more, then maybe it wouldn't be a bad buy, but then again, you can get a 7 string or 8 string.

    Overall, it's your choice.

    25.5 Scale on Hellraiser

    26.5 Scale on Hellraiser EX

  • Looks like the guitar im looking for :)

  • is the neck that fat?

  • Hey, guys. it's a review, not a fucking tone test. chill.

  • LIKE I SAID BEFORE, I PRETEND I'VE WALKED INTO A MUSIC STORE WITH NO PRETENSION, I PICK UP THE GUITAR AND PLUG IT INTO THE NEAREST AMP THEN TALK ABOUT WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE GUITAR AT FIRST GLANCE. IT'S NOT A PERFORMANCE.

I JUST GOT BACK FROM DOING A SHOW IN SAN FRANCISCO AND THAT WAS A CONCERT/PERFORMANCE FOR A LARGE AUDIENCE. SEE THE DIFFERENCE?

    THANKS FOR THE FRIENDLY COMMENT.

  • @johnhguitar Dude, calm the fuck down. No need for all caps rage.

  • Hi John, I got this guitar and I notice that the bridge pickup 81TW is more quiet than the 89 at the neck, the 89 even has a little of the overdrive sound even when played on clean, I've read some tech sheet and it said that EMG 89 has some preamps is that the reason why it sounds louder than the 81tw?

  • @searcherer lol I noticed the same thing with my hellraiser v1. the 81tw is way quieter than the 89, its quite annoying when your playing clean tones.

  • @rampage222555 ok, so i'm not the only one. I thought that there was something wrong with my guitar.

  • @searcherer The bridge pickup will almost always be quieter because of the acoustics. Sense the string has more freedom to vibrate at the neck, it will produce more noice. Because of this, the bridge pickup is often raised closer to the strings than the neck pickup. It's quiet possible this set up was done on purpose to make it possible to switch from a rough tone to a more harmonic styled tone. Raise the pickup, it might help. Don't raise the neck pickup however, it can cause tuning problems.

  • @luthier93 thanx mate, I'll try some magic of yours, happy new year!

  • Allans music in Brisbane had this guitar at a "Guitar Sale" and wanted $1650 for it. They didn't like me laughing at their price.

  • @Shredmastakaos hah, you could probably buy one from overseas with insurance and pay for customs for cheaper than 1.6 grand if you're in Brisbane.

  • @ken6346 Yeah I did :) It was $650 brand new with gig bag, full insurance and it only took 4 days too :)

  • @Shredmastakaos lol terrific, Allans sure is bold to offer it for such a price and then wonder why people buy online. Hope you're enjoying it!

  • @camaroXpharaoh One thing I found really nice is the bridge. It's a TonePros TOM. The bridge is locking, so once you find the height you like, it has 2 allen screws you tighten. Then when you change strings, it stays in place. Very nice! Like John said in the video, Schecter was pretty meticulous with this guitar. It doesn't feel cheap when you play it, and it reminds me of a custom shop guitar rather than a stock model. Every time I play it I'm blown away. I can play it for hours, it's smooth.

  • Just so you know, the edge inlay wouldn't be all that hard to do, theoretically. You simply use a standard router with a standard bit and carve the inlay accordingly. This would be even easier for Schecter, as they, probably, have a CNC machine, which would do both those jobs by computer controlled machine. I took classes at Galloup Guitars, so I've spent time with this, as well as working with some of the tools I mentioned. Just so you know.

  • please, do a review on a schecter synyster custom!

  • How's the battery life on the pickups?

  • @MetallicaManiac31 i have this guitar and u have to change em about every year btw im a metallica freak too lol

  • @ArmyRangerish Hi.

Where do you get that battery, i really want this guitar, looks cool and sounds good.

  • @thecurehits 9 volt walmart lowes cvs giant wegmans anywhere nice guitar

  • @MetallicaManiac31 EMG say you should be able to get 3000 hours from 1 battery. I have few guitars including this one with 18volt EMGs and haven't changed the batteries since fitting the pickups.(At least 2 years) Just remember to unplug your guitar when not playing because it will drain you battery.

  • c7 / c8 or go home

  • Great review. I'm looking into buying this guitar, but I may not be able to play this exact guitar before buying it, I'll probably just be able to play a regular C-1. Is their anything you've found at all unsatisfactory with this guitar? Also, how do the 24x jumbo frets feel? Or how do you think they would feel to somebody used to playing a Stratocaster and SG?

  • People have different guitars that deliver different results. You can't compare apples and oranges. This guitar is its own creation. Really a nice thing.

  • @camaroXpharaoh I just bought one of these two months ago. Flat out the best guitar I have played. I own 2 Gibsons, and a Hamer Standard. This guitar blows them away! I found mine "used" at Guitar Center. It still had tags on the volume knobs, and plastic film on the electronics cover. It was in new condition. New they run $750, got mine for $450. The neck is the best part of the guitar, feels as close to perfect as I have found in 30 years of playing. EMG's are very hot, made for metal.

  • @MOOGSTER66 Nice, I'm extra psyched now. yeah i saw a near mint c1+ used for 300, when they're 600 new. good deals on used stuff at gc. but you said you play gibsons, how do the x-jumbo frets themselves feel compared to the frets of the gibsons?

  • @camaroXpharaoh The frets on mine feel better than the frets on my Gibson. They are very well polished, and rounded nicely on the fretboard. The neck feels more like a Gibson to me than a Fender. The neck is thinner than a Les Paul, it doesn't put as much wood in the palm of your hand. The action on mine is perfect. When I tried the guitar out in the store, I never pugged it in. I played it for about 5 minutes, and took it home. I put new strings on it, and lowered the bridge slightly. No buzz.

  • I just picked up 1 yesterday. If you are a rhythym hard rock/metal player it may be the perfect choice.

  • just to clear something out: you DONT talk too much.its actually a very informative review, really good review

  • you look like the guy from Nstuff.

  • This guitar or the Blackjack ATX with Seymour Duncan Blackouts?? I would like some opinions, thanks!

  • you talk too much

  • Nice guitar, but.. Will it blend ?

  • 3:54 - 4:02 ... That's some hellraising shit there.

  • should i get a schecter or a esp ltd ec 1000?

  • @stayclassybro go esp ltd ec 1000 i played one the other day and they're really nice to play on. its up to you though, i've never played a schecter guitar

  • @AustinEva true but there like 700 when the c1 is like 500 used

  • @stayclassybro i played around with a hellraiser fr and a esp ltd i went with the schecter they were both good guitars but i liked the floyd on the schecter and the split coil option over the ec-1000 but i'd jut play around on both of them before you make a decision

  • Korg GA-30 FTW!

  • sorry for posting so many questions but one more question i'm looking at getting this guitar and i have a pevey raptor and i like the thickness of the nick but thinner necks on fine like on my dad's rg550 how thick is the neck on this guitar and how do you think the guitar overall compares to a ibanez rg550

  • @250trailmaster Just get a strat. That'll do the job.

  • @torquemenistan idk why but i don't like the feel of a strat

  • @250trailmaster Well. It's really up to you on which guitar you'll end up using. If you can afford the C-1, go for it.

  • if you have one (witch i'm sure you probably do or you have one you can play) can you plug it in to a fender frontman 212 and tell me how it sounds through it clean and distorted with no pedals or anything

  • how often do you have to change the batteries like if you let it set more 2 or 3 days like your away on vacation or something and you can't take it do the batteries run constantly or do they shut off when you shut the amp off and what kind of batteries does it take

  • @250trailmaster the battery turns off when you unplug the cable from the guitar

  • Comment removed

  • few questions i like to play country like sweet home Alabama, then some clean rock like dead or alive, thunderstruck, and then i like playing like songs with distortion like TNT, Back in black< crazy train songs like that would this guitar be good for all types of music like that

  • i like how it's in my price range and how the clean sound in but then you kick the distortion on and it sounds great

  • is it just me or do i hear ted from scrubs

  • @MrIplayguitar Are you his boyfriend? It certainly seems you have a thing for him your fending for him so much, is he really that weak?

  • @MrIplayguitar He didn't say anything about the review itself, he just said "your awful" or whatever, which is a stupid thing to say when this guy is only trying to help people make a decision and sharing his opinions on the product.

Why don't you do some spot on reviews Mr.perfect? getting every little neuonce right, I have not said anything about him "fucking sucking" at playing whatsoever, only thing said is he is most likely better than the kid that put that utterly retarded comment.

  • @MrIplayguitar why are you backing him up it's not your argument, Arrogance has nothing whatsoever to do with guessing someone's age.

  • @ravenshield56 because he fucking can numb-nut. have you got an issue with that? youve got 3 other people backing you up

  • so does the battery run out and have to be charged, replaced, etc?

  • How does this guitar compare to the Blackjack C-1?

  • doesnt this guy look like the guy from the show FUTURE WEAPONS

  • Nice, The body looks like a Pensa ! and much cheaper !!! lol

  • we all get the idea of octaves!

I'm pretty sure that someone who doesn't understand the the 12th fet is the octave wouldn't be watching this video

  • What's the battery for? I just started looking at this guitar.

  • Low impedance pick ups require a boost to keep the signal strong and the noise level down. That helps keep the line between the guitar and the amp quiet with a clear reproduction of the guitars tone. Anyhow that's my take on it.

If there's more to it could someone out there explain it better than I did please.

  • @johnhguitar Hey John, can you do a review of the Schecter synyster custom?

  • @johnhguitar This may sound stupid, but how would you know when to change the battery? It would be noticeable right?

  • @metalnation73 The pick-ups have really small magnets so the strings don't get pulled hard by them and so it doesn't pick up much noise. Since the magnet is so small, it doesn't naturally pick up very much sound, so you need a battery to boost the signal back up.

  • anyone, difference between the emg 81 and the emg81tw help me plz. and the 89 and the 85? is it a little grungier?

  • sell me this guitar please

  • thank you so freaking much, i took my battery out and back in and all of a sudden it sounds a billion times better. thank you so so much, my freaking taps can finally be heard

  • @abrahamdrums123 would you suggest any good (tube) amps that cost between 300-700 Euro/Dollars? I'm thinking of selling my current amp or using it as a cabin for a tube guitar head, could you give me your opinion?

  • @Alkinoos7

    Blackstar HT-5R

great tube amp (kinda a hybrid of a tube amp)

  • Hey, I got a question: I've bought a hellraiser c-1 FR, but because I have a Marshall MG30FX amplifier, I always feel like the sound isn't as good as I thought. I've been thinking of changing pickups for Dimarzio Liquifire and Crunch Lab. Would that be a good choice? Or shall I invest on a distortion pedal or amp?

  • @Alkinoos7 get a new amp.. i had an amp like that and it was horrible and EMGs are amazing so try a spider line 6 or a roland cube

  • god damn i used this guitar today at the guitar center, fuck its so smooth to use, u can so easily move up and down the neck thanks to the awesome smooth neck through design, i love it! definantly plan on getting this guitar in the near future

  • I wish that 700$ were "inexpensive" in my country...

    2 months of work

  • Yeah. I better shut up about prices and affordability.

  • @johnhguitar Well that Roland Cube 30 sounds really decent, I wouldn't notice you werent using a high end amp.

  • @cybertrancer for a guitar of that quality its inexpensice....in comparason its not so expensive., but money wise its very expensive

  • @cybertrancer haha well for quality guitars $700 is a decently inexpensive guitar.

  • @cybertrancer dragutz commentu tau, si totodata trist.

  • what makes him a terrible player child

  • I LOVE THIS GUY BECOUSE IF YOU DONT KNOW SOMETHING HE TALKI AND YOU LERN but if you know he is a little boring but i dont mind

  • LOL KEEP PRESSING 3 AND THEN AFTER YOU GET WHAT I THINK HE"S SAYING KEEP PRESSING 4 THEN XD

  • wild player!

  • Duh... The R30 may not do it justice, but this guy's fingers do !

  • these guitars are amazing! if you want one i bought a few months ago in amazing condition i have one on ebay for : $446.99

    cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160609414603&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_1746wt_1130

  • @MrIplayguitar My original comment was stating the difference between a review and a demo, informative or not.

You didn't have to complain to me. I wasn't stating "OH THIS GUY KNOWS EVERYTHING"

Stop complaining to the wrong people, it's fucking stupid.

    Also, lern2grammar.

  • @MrIplayguitar So, why are you watching it?

  • I'm glad someone finally noticed.

  • @johnhguitar im surprised they didnt earlier

  • @xXguitardude9Xx It's a review

  • @CardgamesonYoshi i know its a review. its a terrible one.

  • @xXguitardude9Xx Took one look at your channel, saw this:

"I am what is known as 'gifted', meaning I have a very high intelligence."

And first thing I thought was, "what an arrogant fuck."

  • @Valkodu well holy shit im fucking sorry that i wrote something about me in the 'about me' section.

  • @Valkodu oh by the way i love the videos youve uploaded

  • @xXguitardude9Xx Thanks, I put a lot of time and effort into them.

  • @Valkodu yeah i noticed, real high wuality to, not something you find on most channels

  • @xXguitardude9Xx Aww, you're just saying that to make me feel better :3

  • @xXguitardude9Xx Said the one who probably supports B.C. Rich

  • @TheFingers14 god no i hate bc rich. the necks are so thick and theyre really heavy too. not my thing. im more of a schecter, esp, ibanez, agile etc kind of guy

  • @xXguitardude9Xx Better than you...Prick

  • @ravenshield56 and how exactly do you know that? have we met? have you seen me play before? i think not. so until you can come up with proof that he is better than me (which btw you didnt specify what he is better at), stfu and take the dildo out of your ass

  • @xXguitardude9Xx Dude you take nearly half an hour to open a fucking box... Real cool...

And judging by your arrogant and naive attitude, I can guess you are a real asshole, plus the fact your about 12, I can pretty much guarantee that he is better than you... STOP TROLLING and learn to respect other people, apart from yourself you little wanker.

  • @ravenshield56 i just looked at your chanel and realised youre a fat fuck who has nothing better to do but be a dick on youtube. go eat a pizza and film some more cutscenes for me you faggot

  • @xXguitardude9Xx Hahah bringing that up just shows how weak you are to hold an argument... what a fail.

"has nothing better to do than be a dick on youtube" hahahahaha why do you think this started in the first place?

saying this dude is awful REALLY isn' t being a dick of ANY form whatsoever!

Grow up mate, learn to hold an argument,

He is alot better than you, stop crying wipe those tears, maybe one day when you do it for a living will you be "as good as" him.

    Have a nice day now

  • @xXguitardude9Xx Oh and nice description box

" I play guitar, drums, piano, trumpet, sax, bass and a bit of the xylophone. I have never had a piano lesson in my life. I am what is known as 'gifted', meaning I have a very high intelligence. I was tested when I was 10 and ii had an IQ result of 132, but the tester said i could have easily gotten in the 140's if i had paid attention and tried. So dont try to troll, cause Ill just shut you down."

Gifted my arse you vain little twat

  • @ravenshield56 get with the fucking times a read some of my other comments dick head

  • @xXguitardude9Xx why should I have to?

  • @xXguitardude9Xx Yeah i looked at your vids too. First of all, you are ugly as fuck. I'm glad you are what is known as "Gifted" because that's the only "Talent" you will ever have. You spent half an hour opening a fucking box. Dude, come on. Also, 132 isn't all that great. Hooray! you are a little bit smarter than some people. Well that doesn't change the fact that you are an arrogant prick, and probably don't have friends. Now after you are done crying about this, You can keep sucking your mom.

  • @soopa96 go back to your pokemon you fucking 12 year old. a kid like you shouldnt be saying naughty words like that.

also, its an unboxing video, which some people look for when they buy a kit. they want to know what theyre buying, and im giving them that information.

and no, i dont have any friends. you got a problem with that?

and yes, 132 is acctually pretty good. giving 100 is the average, on the same scale 132 is very above average so shut up about that.

  • @soopa96 and how the fuck am i arrogant? im telling this guy that its a shit review, which it is. does telling someone theyre bad when they are arrogant? i didnt realise telling the truth meant im arrogant.

  • @xXguitardude9Xx How is it a bad review? And you are arrogant because you claim to be "Gifted" That's a Douche move. You might as well strap on a cape, put a giant D on your chest and call yourself "Super-Douche" and your superpowers are annoying your enemies to death with your douche rays.

  • @soopa96 its so bad in so many ways. i mean first off, he knows barely anything about this guitar. its a review, youre supposed to know basically everything about it before you do it, especially professionally. he doesnt even know if its a set neck or neck thru, which is definately something you should know if you work at a guitar shop. he even keeps calling the inlays mother of pearl even though its abalone. its just a terrible review, its as if he is learning things about it as he goes.

  • @soopa96 and second, im fucking sorry that i wrote something about me in the about me section. i was told by a professor who tested me that i was gifted, i dont assume it. its a fucking about me section for fucks sake, why am i a douche because im telling something about myself where im supposed to? im sorry that its a douche move to be truthful. its cunts like you who over-react to everything and get mad because ive got a high iq and make me feel terrible about myself. go fucking die in a hole.

  • I'm sorry I ever did this review. Look at what it's caused. People are rioting in the streets. Everyone one who owns a Schecter guitar is waiting around every corner for me. It's like this thing has ruined my life. I wish I wasn't born.

It's a good thing I have other things to do with my life besides talk about guitars. You guys are wasting your time waffling over this stupid unprofessional review. Use Miles Davis as an example and stick to practicing instead of talking trash. Go for the music.

  • @soopa96 dude he is a complete faggot, look at the convo between us xD

  • @xXguitardude9Xx You said he was awful, not that it was a shit review

  • @soopa96 Thankyou, someone that agree's with me --.--

  • @ravenshield56 Haha i'm sure a lot of people agree.

  • A man who goes off on tangents. Priceless. I'd end up doing all those tangents and "by-the-ways" and mini explanations too. Cool vid.

  • Which came first? This one or the LTD H-1001? It's the same exact guitar!

  • @matzchase the hellraiser.

  • yeah he definatley doesnt know what he is talking about.... but he can play

  • yeah he definatley doesnt know what he is talking about.... but he can play
