  • @ahturion hans is highly influenced by ennio, check out the opening of the crimson tide theme, very ennio like and he wrote an article on him for a film score magazine recently.

  • @DanGRtheMan , interesting :-? thanks for these information.

  • Did you make coffee?

  • Cheyenne is one of the coolest western characters ever. An educated gentleman thief in a western world.

  • Dieses Lied steht bei mir mit Jills und Mundharmonikas Theme auf Platz 1! (ich finde alle drei Themen toll ;-))

  • Once upon a time in the west is easily the greatest western ever and possibly the greatest movie (of any genre) ever produced.

  • I hate this movie, to be honest with you. Normally I love westerns, but I was getting tired of this one within the first ten minutes.

I do like this song though.

  • @VictorMcCaw To be honest the first 10 minutes of this movie are slow up until the arrival of Harmonica, but it definitely picks up later in the film, and makes for one of the best endings in the history of westerns (both action and emotion-wise).

  • @taler8988 For me, the whole movie felt slow (and I did watch it all the way through.) All I can say is that different people like different things. This was one movie I did not enjoy. I didn't like the characters and I wasn't interested in the plot. That's just me, though.

  • @taler8988 In my opinion the first 10 minutes were well made, really impressive acting of the old man and of the gang leader and combination of sounds (fly -> train).

  • mmmmmmmm ........niceeeee

  • I heard this for the first time when i was in greece

    this reminds me greece :)

  • this theme is very nice.. You really kind of want to like Cheyenne

  • 4 people brought three too many.

  • best damn western ever made!!!!

  • best damn western ever made!

  • The stop at 2:27 reminds me of the moment when he fell off his horse. I was really sad.

  • I wish I could whistle -.-

  • 4 people need to take a close look at Cheyenne's boots

  • kinda reminds me of the beginning of discombobulate on the sherlock holmes soundtrack

  • Best song from once upon a time in the west

  • Comment removed

  • You know, Jill, you remind me of my mother. She was the biggest whore in Alameda and the finest woman that ever lived. Whoever my father was, for an hour or for a month, he must have been a happy man.

  • Cheyenne is a kick ass character. This movie is so perfect.

  • What a great piece of music and arrangement.

  • Morricone is absolutely the best Western composer

  • @leonvandersande Morricone is absolutely the best composer....

    not only western...

    bye

  • @SoldatoJoker91 Your right and Quinten Tarrantino picks up the mantel and it appears he isn't going to let it fade away in his movies.

  • Reminds me of Dexter.

  • @crazzybro789

    Why exactly?

  • @DictatorRoB The beginning of it only. Reminds me of the opening song.

  • Thank god Charles Bronson lives at the end.

  • My grandfather used to whistle to this all the time, especially during quiet afternoons.

  • My names Cheyenne two ^^ But kool song though XD

  • Worth every 180 min.

  • my names cheyenne, lol

  • I think Cheyenne is possibly my favorite character is any Western. Mostly because he would be me if I lived in that era.

  • omp pa pa omp pa omp pa pa omp pa omp pa pa omp pa omp pa pa omp pa

  • @grogandroppa RATE DOWN THIS STUPID COMMENT!!!!!

  • @Spandex08 yes i will rate down your comment

  • @Spandex08

ok i downrated your STUPID COMMENT!!!!

  • @grogandroppa man, I find your comment so silly, yet so amusing.

  • @grogandroppa

That is rythm of riders.... and you have one pause when heart stop (at 2:27) That is simbolize death.

    .

  • Cheyenne is such a great character.

  • Cheyenne- charles bronson- henry fonda-claudia cardinale y por supuesto ennio morricone un western impresionante para que no se olvide nunca y perduren toda la vida igual que Sin perdón. Saludos.

  • 3 idiots need a meeting with Cheyenne's men in dusters.

  • @williamwallac94

    Make that four.

  • @CodSingletary "My mistake. Four coffins."

  • @ginnoveffect

    Wrong movie.

  • @spas16 No sheeet. But it's Sergio Leone. And besides the reference is perfect.

  • @williamwallac94 and in those 3 dusters, were 3 men, and in those 3 men were 3 bullets...

  • @williamwallac94

    Your mistake! 4 coffins! :-)

  • @williamwallac94 there are 4 of them but it's alright. Cheyenne can count all the way up to 6 if he has to ;-)

  • @hadedorus lmfao!

  • @williamwallac94 and another 2 need to meet with Frank

  • @kentuckyfriedjon or the man with the harmonica

  • @williamwallac94

    make that 5.... tsk!

one of my all-time favourite Morricone pieces and, to me, the best from this film :)

  • Morricone ...

  • does anybody know who shot cheyenne ? he says he ran into mr chu chu , is that the crippled guy or the train driver ?this always confused me

  • @darren1673 Like anonymouschan said, "Mr. Chu Chu" was the rich, disabled train owner. He shot Cheyenne earlier in the movie.

I think you can actually see him holding his side when he first rides back in after he escapes from the train.. he just didn't let on that he was injured. :(

  • @darren1673 the train company owner - the guy suffering from bone tuberculosis. He didn't know "where to shoot" - that's why Cheyene lives quite long after getting the wound.

  • @Sanderus yes i know that sanderus but because chey used the name mr chu chu it left doubt in my mind did someone else shoot him connected with the train .or maybe i just think too much ha ha ? but anyway now i know, over and out

  • Cheyenne was the greatest, was so sad to see him go.

  • how could Morricone come up with all this great music? he is superhuman, god of music.

  • I don't understand how Cheyenne died. One minute he is indoors with Claudia Cardinale drinking coffee and shaving his face, the next minute he is out holding his guts in. What the fuck?

  • @MajBlood

He and his gang fought Frank's gang if I recall correctly. Not shown though.

  • @MajBlood The guy with Polio shot him (The train owner, forgotton his name though). He actually mentions this just before he kicks the bucket.

'tl;dr' Cheyenne got fucked halfway through film, and just shrugged it off like the man he was.

  • @MajBlood lol, your right pal how could cheyenne have a shave if he's nearly at deaths door, fantastic film tho

  • No wonder Piper named their airplane Cheyenne!

  • MASTERPIECE

  • At the beginning of the song I'm happy but later I get sad. I don't know why.

  • Wim Mertens - The Scene

  • This song is definitely iconic of the west. Cheyenne was a really cool character in the movie, and I have to admit it was sad to see him go.

  • the theme song from Dexter (Showtime) sounds vaguely similar to this....If you listen to it you'll see what I mean.

  • @LisaB356

    Mnaaah that's a stretch.

  • I want this to be played at my funeral!

  • it makes me remember something

  • it make me remember something

  • great song...

  • i like it

  • Das waren noch richtig Klasse Western , mit der entsprechend guten Musik von Ennio Morricone.

  • I love this soundtrack!

  • I love this movie.

  • This is my "after tough days" song ... still give me some good old days feelings

  • Love this tune.

  • I'm not a fan of westerns but this was The Best God Damn movie I have ever seen.

  • @TheChristmasFan, hah hah hah . . . you felt that one, eh? I think this movie is a masterpiece of film-making.

  • Hell son yeah!!!

Thx a lot for loading this up - i´ve been searching this for a very long time. It´s one of the greatest movie-themes ever in the history

  • It's "Addio a Cheyenne" or "Farewell to Cheyenne"

  • super chingona, just great!

  • @TheChristmasFan I wasn't a fan of westerns either, but Sergio Leone films are beyond that. They are epics.

  • Αριστουργηματικο..!

  • @kapelinos

    aristouruenmatiko?

  • laggie24, makes a good point. Living in those times was very hard no doubt. But there was also a simpleness to life that is missing today. I love Cheyenne's theme and he's my favorite character in the film.

  • the best western movie ever made, and charles bronson's best role.

  • This is seriously one of the greatest songs ever to evoke the spirit of the spaghetti western.

  • Before this song was ever composed, when people thought about the Old West, I bet this is the song they heard in their heads.

  • How much I love this melody... it always makes me think I would have loved to live in those ages within the wild west stlye... no tv...no cells phone ... no nothing ...just plan simple enviroment nothing/nowhere to rush for.

  • How much I love this melody... it always makes me think I would have loved to live in those ages within the wild west stlye... no tv...no cells phone ... no nothing ...just plan simple enviroment nothing/nowhere to rush for.

  • Great pictures and great soundtrack ... just speachless when this tune goes on .. simply lovely to listen :-)

  • presavršeno

  • The criminally underrated Sergio Leone was one of the greatest directors ever. Clint Eastwood cannot compare.

  • This song just screams western!
