My mother was the biggest whore in Alameda, and the finest woman that ever lived. Whoever my father was...for an hour or for a month...he must have been a happy man.
Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson are both grand actors each contributing to the filmworld. Their movies and some of the theme songs from them will be remembered for ever.
As I think back, Cheyenne and Harmonica was my favourite male characters in this film. If I could find the whole film in this data-jungle, wich called Internet, I'll watch it over and over again! Thanks for uploading!
Charles Bronson is man with the iron face, you cant beat him. Love this movie. You should check out other Charles Bronson stuff from the early days. It's amazing !
I love those themes....i am happy that know the time comes when our "schützenfeste" are starting...those are traditional public festival in germany with marching bands...they sometimes play "moments for morricone" there...great stuff...search it :)
@ahturion hans is highly influenced by ennio, check out the opening of the crimson tide theme, very ennio like and he wrote an article on him for a film score magazine recently.
@VictorMcCaw To be honest the first 10 minutes of this movie are slow up until the arrival of Harmonica, but it definitely picks up later in the film, and makes for one of the best endings in the history of westerns (both action and emotion-wise).
@taler8988 For me, the whole movie felt slow (and I did watch it all the way through.) All I can say is that different people like different things. This was one movie I did not enjoy. I didn't like the characters and I wasn't interested in the plot. That's just me, though.
@taler8988 In my opinion the first 10 minutes were well made, really impressive acting of the old man and of the gang leader and combination of sounds (fly -> train).
You know, Jill, you remind me of my mother. She was the biggest whore in Alameda and the finest woman that ever lived. Whoever my father was, for an hour or for a month, he must have been a happy man.
Cheyenne- charles bronson- henry fonda-claudia cardinale y por supuesto ennio morricone un western impresionante para que no se olvide nunca y perduren toda la vida igual que Sin perdón. Saludos.
@darren1673 Like anonymouschan said, "Mr. Chu Chu" was the rich, disabled train owner. He shot Cheyenne earlier in the movie.
I think you can actually see him holding his side when he first rides back in after he escapes from the train.. he just didn't let on that he was injured. :(
@darren1673 the train company owner - the guy suffering from bone tuberculosis. He didn't know "where to shoot" - that's why Cheyene lives quite long after getting the wound.
@Sanderus yes i know that sanderus but because chey used the name mr chu chu it left doubt in my mind did someone else shoot him connected with the train .or maybe i just think too much ha ha ? but anyway now i know, over and out
I don't understand how Cheyenne died. One minute he is indoors with Claudia Cardinale drinking coffee and shaving his face, the next minute he is out holding his guts in. What the fuck?
laggie24, makes a good point. Living in those times was very hard no doubt. But there was also a simpleness to life that is missing today. I love Cheyenne's theme and he's my favorite character in the film.
How much I love this melody... it always makes me think I would have loved to live in those ages within the wild west stlye... no tv...no cells phone ... no nothing ...just plan simple enviroment nothing/nowhere to rush for.
