Hi Rob it me Maria W, sk3ptitz is my younger son and I left the message under his name. Gosh Cody is so talented, no wonder God needed him. My older boy was playing this song and I LOVE it, I asked him to show me the song on you tube, after listening to the words it reminded me of losing someone very close to us. It reminded me of you and Cody. I hope it doesn't make you sad that is not my intent, I just thought the words were so poignant. I still fell your pain, Rob and Grace...

Yes his teacher is a jazz drummer and is just concentrating on rudiments, music reading and The Bosa Nova. I have taken him to the Modern Drummer Festival in 2006 and this past Sept 2008. I took him to Drum Fantasy Camp in 2007 and many clinics. All 80 percent Jazz Drummers. He finds these screaming bands on Youtube and its his music. He does love the Beatles, Oldies and Drumhead Mag. CDs. He loves the Steve Smith Vitalizatiion Cd. With this I hope it will click sometime in the next few years.

Wow ! I watched your videos and you are an inspiration to all drummers. Cody loves Blink 182 and Angels and Airwaves. We took him to see them, AAA, on thier first Tour. He loved them. Codys Mom loves them. I will show Cody your page. I thought that groove 49 was great too. I asked him what he was playing one day and it was a Throwdown Song. He has just started playing the songs in his head from listening to them on his Ipod. I didnt think he would do this till he was 13 or 14.

maybe I cant hear the bass drum very well, but try to hit the bass when you hit the cymbal, it gives it more body
