  • Never mind actually,I'll kepp watching your vids, that's for sure.

  • @ddraguti : Hi, sorry im little bissy. Did you now record a movie with your Nikon?

  • @nils169 No I didn't,frankly it's a long way to go before I start recording a movie,I need to first get some appliable Nikon camera holder, then to make a plan what, where and how to make it etc.Beside, the weather is not ok these days,a lot of cloudy days,I'd like to record at sunshine. My Nikon has 4 gb (+ 2gb on the second card) of available memory so I won't be able to make tremendous movies like you but more like shorter movies. In the meantime I'm in a process of learning from your vids.

  • @ddraguti: Hi, well just you need do some test. if you compare my first movies to the new ones, there was much going on :-) You can also construct someting by your self. Well HD Recording takes a lot Memory. I have 32GB internal Memory, and I can record may about 3 Hoours. Then You need a fast computer to render them. I use the newest "Windows Movie Maker Live". There you can set 2/4/8/16/32/64X speed. Sadly no 6 or 12X... So let me know when you have your first video. And here is poor weather

  • @nils169 @nils169 when I make my first video I'll put it here and let you know of course. But as I say it's a long way to go because just like you I want to make it according to some plan,to provide the full info about the vid just like you did.I have time:)) I've just checked my Nikon,it has 49.56 minutes of available time with recent 4 gb memory card.It surprises me that you have only up to 3 hours with 32 gb?? So it is WMM Live for selecting various speeds, understand now,I should get that too.

  • @ddraguti, Hi, Well I record in AVCHD FULL HD. 12min= 2GB. WMM is Free if you have WinXP or newer. There you can speed up your videos. Original speed looks boring. Like this Video. 4X is nice. And you need go faster on long ways, because you have here 15min Limit now. Before it was 10min Limit. Greets

  • @nils169 AVCHD FULL HD,12min=2GB,yes I get it now.As for the WMM(not WMM Live),are you saying that it is possible to speed up videos in there as well as with Live version of the same program? I'd be glad if that is true as I read on the net that WMM Live version is not compatible with OS-es prior to Vista making eventual upgrade to that version useless for me as I have XP only.I recently get the Camtasia Studio 7 movie software, seems like a good choice.I need to have more insight into it though.

  • @nils169 to add,if it's about long ways, yes I agree that speeding a movie up is good option as that way you can show a lot in one movie, and it's easier to post here.I like when it's all in one movie,it's easier to experience the whole trip. But 6x seems too fast to catch wherever you drive, especially if you drive closer to the city area(and within the city).Slower speed seems to me as better option then. You're right,4x would be appropriate if not the time limit.4x seems to be the best option.

  • I didn't pay atention to that link but I saw it now,ok thanks.

  • @ddraguti: Well I just uploaded for you today!

  • @nils169 I seee it was today! Well thank you very much then.I don't have such a good camera like you in fact I have Nikon Coolpix S 10 dig cam which can record I think up to 1 hour in one shot but still looking for usable mount holder.I think I'll look over to their website to find something.

  • @ddraguti: Well this holder is good I have. The Problem with all those small cameras is the "Image Stabilisation". In this movie is the old camera. Compare to my new...

  • @nils169 If I may ask as whether that holder is appliable to multiple cameras or only to that one on this video? Also, you say it is old camera here (still it's been marked as HD?) and suggest to compare with new but how to compare and what difference shall I notice? Are there any links in another videos to type of camera being used per each movie? As far as I remember most videos have that HD mark in the title which confuses me as I am simply an amateur who doesn't know much about it.

  • @ddraguti: Hi, well the cam in this video was a "Toshiba Camileo P10" Was about 70 Euro. Now I have a "real" cam "Sony HDR-CX350VE" And the new cam have a "Wide Lens". And a very good stabilisation. Also 32GB internal memory. I edit them most with "Windows Movie Maker Live". And I use this "Universal Holder". I buy it in a Store here. About 20 Euros... Greets :-)

  • @nils169 Aha,SonyHDR-CX350VE,saw the camera photo and it's performances,up to 12 hours of recording(preeety much),12 opt.zoom, but particularly interesting feature in that camera in my opinion is GPS geotagging of clips and photos. Here in Croatia they will charge you around 1200sfr for that camera which is quite a lot here.My Nikon Coolpix S10 is 200 sfr for example(that's a pocket cam though).Ok now you have a high class cam,so have you already made a road movie with that cam, have any link to?

  • @nils169 forgot to mention, the picture stabilisation, there is a little bit of a shaking sometimes but nothing of major importancy I'd say,the picture is actually pretty steady most of the time(calm). You have mentioned it otherwise I would hardly pay any attention to it really as I am usually focused to road ahead, traffic signs and landscape around: )) Those are very small details in fact. It's up to the periodically bumpy road below, nothing you can do about it.Come to our roads here to see...:)

  • Excellent. Thanks for the link to the Google maps route.Btw if I may ask, were you driving yourself or it was someone else driving and you were just sitting next to him holding a camera during this trip or you have simply used a mount holder? I'd like to to record trips myself but cannot manage to fix the camera onto the windshiled or somewhere close to wind glass. If you can give any advice I would appreciate that.

  • @ddraguti: Hello there. Thank you for all your nice comments! I uploaded a Picture how I mounted the camera. See in Description, there is a link. Greets from Zürich
