My doctor said to blow dry your lady parts on a low setting after a shower to help with the moistness, or a small desk fan. Looks funny but it works. Also she said don't sleep in your underwear. There needs to be a balance amount of good bacteria in the vagina environment. Took me a long time, too long, to discover that i had developed cytolic vaginosis. Doctors confused it with so many other things. This would throw my ph balance off and cause havoc. I ended up using a baking soda sitz bath to calm it and then paid very close attention to it's triggers. Latex condoms were a number one culprit. I switched to polyurethane condoms. For a more natural cleanse, put vinegar in your bath water and soak in that or if you must douche it is better to make your own with water and very little iodine. Live culture plain yogurt placed in the vagina will help. I know it sounds wierd but the good bacteria that's in the yogurt will eat the bad odor causing bacteria in the vagina. If he's too embarrased to say anything to her about it. He can just say he wants to get kinky with foods ;)

@shandasays..See THATS my worse fear! A man telling me i have an odor! Like u, I am "moist" too,lol *nice choice of words.I sweat easily so i wear carefrees, change midday & use s.eve wipes or baby wipes daily as needed.I asked my GYN abt my smell bc i didnt like it.He said "its my natural smell & nothing 2 worry abt..." i was like wtf?Is he nuts?Douches r a quick temp fix but i wanted a PERMANENT solution. Ive accepted that there isnt one,every woman is different so i compensate as best i can.

@mcoordinator careful with the wipes and feminine cleaners, they can throw off your ph balance down there and make odor worse. There needs to be a balance amount of good bacteria in the vagina environment. If you have a smell problem you can put live culture plain yogurt in there to take care of the issue, sounds gross I know but the good bacteria in the yogurt eats the odor causing bacteria in the jay-jay. Also there is a vitamin supplement called Acidophilis that u take daily 2 keep balanced

douching makes a women smell like hot garbage if it smell go to the doctor and use deordorate on the inside of your thighs if they sweat

I never use feminine washes because when I was much younger people always say not to use douches. I do take a baths and I just use water and take nice hot baths.

Shanda....I have the worst case of issues...I was told to stay away from feminine soaps, becuase they are just cover ups, and dangerous to use. So my doc tells me that I'm not suppose to SHAVE, or use soap....lol I'm looking like huh? lol Anywho, I use 2diff rags, and I use WHITE DOVE BAR....but thats so boring. I'm in the shower smelling like water, and bf when he takes shower you can smell the scent coming out the bathroom...NO FAIR!

I agree its BV and the worst thing you could possibly do is douche. Been there done that and only made my situation worse and the smell STRONGER. Douche throws my Vagina PH off
