@MrMatt29999 Amen to that. Herb plays the drums like Les plays the bass. Inovative, professional, & able to play anything that the world & one's mind can conjur. As a bass/drum pair these two were made for each other. End of story. Sigh, now Herb's gone for the SECOND time & the real old school Jay from '86-'88 is back. Sigh again. Jay's pretty good, but he sure aint Herb. I'm just thankful he's got a better grasp on Herb's songs than Brain did.
@ThrobnWood les wanted to do an album with brain because it changed it from the free flow of tim alexanders drumming to a more groove feel, brain also stated that he doesnt play like tim alexander so he wasnt going to try to copy him and he was going to do his own thing, whats wrong with being yourself in your music?
@aftermathfool I dont think that is herb on the drums....I believe its Jay....Jay, who is the current drummer now for Primus was the original Primus drummer in 89...and I believe this recording is in 89.
