They actually explained why Spyro didn't have his abilities from the first game.

At the end of ANB, Spyro channeled all of his power into his Convexity Fury, which defeated Cynder. This unfortunately caused him to lose all of his power: This was stated in the ending cutscene of ANB.

I only recently acquired The Eternal Night at my local GameForce shop. I did have a lot of fun with it, even though it was hard. I saw on various sites that it could be the worst one in the trilogy, but I personally don't believe that. It's hard, yes, but it's not that bad. I seriously don't know what it is with the fanboys, but the war really needs to stop. The one thing I liked the most about the game was Dark Spyro. I'm still looking forward to your Dawn of the Dragon review.

I hope you eventually do a review on Dawn of the Dragon. It's been out for 2 years now so it should be a pretty decent price by now. You might be able to find a good deal at Amazon or at your local GameStop. They all have a great storyline to them.

i played eternal night like 5 times (dark spyro yay ^.^) and i've also played DoTD and that game rocks too. I love to fly in the valey of avalar there :P

this trilogy is absolutely horrible i srsly hav never been more disapointed with a game none of my favourite spyro related things no kangaroo sheep no butterflys no buzzing sparx no collectable things (eggs gems etc) and in fact no spyro any1 hu thinks that is spyro is wrong hes just too ridiculous in this game

As soon as I can afford it.  Unfortunately, the recession hit me hard and I've been low on funds all year. I have a few other reviews in the works, but I haven't forgotten about Spyro. I'm looking forward to it and you can bet I'll put some serious effort into that review.

Nice review, and I liked the first Spyro review you did. One suggestion: the Yuna Rule, although funny, should be changed to the Samus Rule. Metroid is infamous for Samus Aran losing her powers in some form or another in each game.
