Still heard the feedback, even tough you move farther from the amp. Try a Behringer feedback destroyer. Works better.

A cheap noise gate does a better job.

The amp was still feeding back and the player moved away from the amp while he was playing. He didn't do that when he played without it. It may have cut a little feedback out, but not a ton.
