WAKE UP CHRISTIANS! The "evangelicals" put Bush into office, TWICE, and now we are hated by many people across America who think G.W. Bush is a true born again believer. PLEASE open your eyes and do your homework. RON PAUL is the only candidate who truly portrays Christian values. PLEASE research his record and don't support someone because they claim they are a "Christian". VOTE RON PAUL!
Don't be lured to the mass graves coming when Civil War starts in america because the dem and gop have destroyed the nation under Treason in congressional earmarks, and legislation.
Only 6% of Republicans are being polled. These are the ones who voted in the 2004 primary. So when you see him at 7 or 8% keep in mind that's his ranking with pro-war pro-Bush supporters. Does not take in to account new voters indep. or anti-war Republican. I think it's amazing he's doing so well!
Dr. Paul cured my political apathy. If the Christian votes in this country can help put Dr. Paul in office, they just might cure my religious apathy, too! :)
I'm not a christian, not religious in any way. I don't like abortion, but believe it's not my business or the government's to tell anybody when life begins. I support Paul, but disagree with him on the issue of choice. Life may not be a choice, but the right of women to control their own bodies comes first. Making criminals out of women and their doctors is insane.
What choice does the human baby have? We are to protect the lives of the innocent and those who can't fend for themselves. The issue is that there are two bodies involved in the abortion decision. The woman's and the child's. We have got to start calling it what it is...not a choice. It is a human life that is murdered by abortion.
When do you think a "fetus" becomes a human with the right to be protected?
Either way, Paul believes the legality of abortion should be determined at the state level. We can't all agree, why should the gov. try and make us agree? Good debate and in Ron Pauls words we have to understand that we don't have "perfect knowledge."
Abortion is still against the law regardless of Roe v. Wade. The Roe v. Wade decision did not make a law legalizing abortion. The courts don't write laws, they interpret them. There is a law against first degree murder, and that is what abortion is ...premeditated murder.
There is something wrong with a nation when animals have more rights than human babies. My dog is protected more than an unborn child.
Do you believe a baby is alive or dead inside the womb?
Like I said, it's not my call or yours or the governments. Neither of us are in a position to draw that line, and I certainly don't want government deciding by committee. So I choose to believe life begins at birth. You can disagree, but that's not my concern.
Good for you. I'll live with my convictions, and won't bother arguing with yours. I am not going to try to debate with you about what is life, when does it begin, is a baby alive before or after birth . . . and all the rest of these kind of questions that never decide anything. I spent four years getting a degree in philosophy, and the only thing I learned is that these questions have been debated endlessly and the results are about as solid as quicksand.
I understand your refusal to answer whether or not a baby is alive or dead before birth. In all honesty, you can't answer it because it will lead you down a road that you seem to be unwilling to travel down. It doesn't take a college degree in philosophy to know that a baby is most certainly ALIVE before birth. The government makes laws concerning the "rights" of animals. Do you agree with that?
In all honesty, the question you ask is not question at all. You've suggested the answer in the way your 'question' is framed. Is a baby alive or dead . .. Like I said, I do not enter into debates where loaded questions are the topic. You have nothing new to add to any discussion about life, death, or rights with this kind of lame sophistry. Your arguments are simply not relevant. You can't define life, no one can. And if they tell you they can, its wrapped in spiritualism.
The question is cogent. You stated that life began at birth. So the logical illation one can make from that statement is that a baby is dead until its birth, which is farcical.
What a waste of time and money a philosophy degree must be if you can't answer basic questions concerning what is life and when/where does it begin. You won't answer the above question, because it would prove incriminating.
As a point of reference, as a personal observation, life begins at birth. It is at that point constitutional rights adhere and government may exercise its powers. You're still engaged in sophistry and you know it. When you build bridges you must have support. Your position is founded on senseless superstition. And by the way Fuck You.
You last statement pretty much summed up your character, your philosophy degree, and your pro-death position.
When you resorted to using expletives in such a crude way, I assume the debate is over and there is nothing new you can bring to the table other than filth.
Wow, then how do you explain the fact that when a pregnant woman is murdered, the assailant is tried for double homicide. Do you not agree with this law either?
Well, if we want to talk about the origin of when something becomes "alive", we may want to look into smaller details. An organism that lives and feeds and multiplies, has a "duty" or purpose in life is alive. "Humans" are made up of molecules, organisms that constantly change. So, then, isn't sperm alive? And if so, anytime we have sex and sperm is unused, are we not killing a living thing? A woman's body kills its eggs monthly as well.
Interesting point: Ron Paul also believes it's not his business or the Federal Government's to tell you what to do with your body or when life begins. He does believe in giving the states the right to determine what is or isn't legal.
I agree that making criminals of women and (some) doctors is insane. And Ron said that though he believed that it's wrong, that he didn't believe that the woman should be charged with a crime.
He seems to conflict himself. He is so into the government keeping out of peoples lives and yet he is anti-abortion. He says it right here in this video "Keep the government off our backs" except let the government control your right to handle your own body. Inconsistent, the only one I can see so far.
It is not an issue of "controlling" a woman's body. It is about protecting an innocent viable human. It falls under the jurisdiction of the civil magistrate to protect the defenseless. An unborn baby is just about as defenseless as one can get.
People will never agree on the topic of abortion and I definitely agree with Dr. Ron Paul that this issue needs to be handled at the state level and it should be different at every state.
Vote Ron Paul. Because the church has failed to meet her mandates from God, the government has become our humanistic "savior." Look at the result. We are no longer a Christian nation, rather we are moving into statist tyranny. Wake up, Christians! Quit strumming on your guitars, singing Kum Ba Yah, and waiting on the "rapture" to get us out of this mess. It is time for us to rally behind a candidate who will protect our liberties, which begin at conception and end at death.
Very good video. We should all take a lesson from Dr. Paul, and not hate the other candidates, but realize how misled they are. And politely educate them.
Ron Paul cured my political apathy. If the Christians in this country come together to get this man elected, maybe they'll cure my religious apathy...

I guess the logical conclusion to your above statement is that a baby is "dead" until birth? If so, why does it grow?
