  • I don't understand. People are getting mad at him for expressing his opinion, and at the same time posting their hateful opinions. If you don't believe, why did you click on this video? Just to leave an offensive comment?

  • @itsmeCyNtHiA1998

Because they wanted to watch the video and give their opinion. Or did I miss your memo that people who disagree with something cannot comment on it?

  • hahaha oh wow

  • What? jesus christ. He said what? oh this is Fox News.

  • What??? jesus christ.... He said what? oh this is Fox News.

  • brit hume should realize that buddhism is more about the journey towards peace and happiness, rather than the destination. Also buddhism teaches the path of redemption is compassion and kindness. It also teaches not to pass judgement because everyone deals with pain and suffering in life.

  • @17LETSGO "We're all good, moral people." Did you seriously just make that claim? 1) that is demonstrably not true. 2) If it were, then how could your God ever condemn anyone? I agree that good deeds don't erase past transgressions. But neither does human sacrifice and cannibalism, which is what Christians believe.

  • ima christian tiger should do wat ever he want

  • If a guy cheats on his wife, he shouldn't seek out a blatantly sexist religion for forgiveness.

  • @alienisuntverus Shut the fuck up bitch

  • @drewchasias

    Deal with it.

  • what a total bs

  • Forgiveness and redemption??? Buddhism doesn't judge in the first place! It's about compassion to ALL!

  • Translation - "Tiger, fuck your religion of peace. You must join MY religion, or forever be known as a worthless sinner doomed to Hell!! "

No respect. Hume got his morals from the bible. Nuff said.

  • Fuck Brit Hume and FUCK christianity.

  • fuck your christianity forgiveness. im a moral person, i would never harm anyone, but ill do watever the fuck makes me happy. keep your own guilt to yourself but dont make others feel guilty just coz u feel alone in the shithole ur in lol

  • God bless you, Brit Hume.

  • What a noob.

  • :/

  • @TheBoneheader Correct me if I'm wrong, but Christianity is huge on missionary work in countries where people aren't white and I don't thnik Islam has the same kind of program going for it. I'm not anti-religion, I just can't stand the whole "spread the gospel" superiority complex bs.

  • @17LETSGO nd the mafia boss doesn't shoot people in the head, they shoot themselves in the head by not accepting such a generous offer.

"Why wont you accept my protection, all you have to do is run your business the way I want, I dont want something to happen to you, think about your family?"

    Fuk your gods a cunt

  • @17LETSGO Or god could not send people to hell in the first place. Or he could not place a tree in his garden which he forbid Adam and Eve to eat from. Or he just doesn't exist.

  • How the hell did he get a job...oh wait, it's Fox News. Nevermind.

  • wow, who is this failed abortion??

  • I think Buddhism offers more responsibility on the practioner's part.

  • Brit Hume: Living proof that we're still breeding assholes.

  • religion is a business like any other, they're always out for new customers

  • @willferris34 The only religion that's business like is Christianity. Forcing shit down people throat. Going over to other peoples country trying to change their belief. Religion shouldn't be forced upon others, no one likes to be forced to do shit they don't wanna do. Have you ever run into people who tells you that you'll go to hell if you don't believe in Jesus? I have too many fucking time. How can someone like Jesus save me when he couldn't even save himself from being nailed down?

  • @captainaizen Christianity is the worst offender for sure, but they certainly don't have the monopoly on proselytism. Look at Scientology or even things like Transcendental Meditation and self-help programs. It's all the same business model regardless of what's being sold.

  • @captainaizen He didn't save himself from being nailed down because he wanted to save people like you. When missionaries go to other countries...they don't force anyone to convert. They tell them about it. Whoever told you about Jesus is not forcing anything unless they have are threatening to kill you if you don't become a Christian. Otherwise, you have a choice.

  • How can that lying pile of dog excrement talk about anyone? You are the biggest phony there is brit hume, after I saw the 2008 presidential debate's where you "TRIED" to put RON PAUL down I lost what little (very) respect I had for you. Who owns you anyway? you are kissing someones ass, who is it ? the sad part is you are a whore because you are doing it for money....

  • Me, I reckon Tiger Woods should become a Hindu.

    1) They have a kind of cross-over with Buddhism.

    2) They worship elephants with six arms... now THAT is what I call a fuckin' God!

    3) There's an all-you-can eat Indian Buffet in Patala (heaven).

  • The bible says : The preaching of the gospel is as follishness to those that are dying , but it is the power of God to the saved . Brit was right . Tiger has a heart issue which can only be fixed by realizing he's a sinner and repenting and trusting in Christ ALONE for salvation . Really without God what Tiger did wasn't wrong . He was just doing what makes him happy , but every person will eventually die and have to give an account to God for what he has done with his life .

  • HERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR u name is pretty cool me likey "Brit Hume"

  • well technically he is right about Christianity being more forgiving then Buddhism and tiger wood is a tool to for cheating on his hot wife and his kids so who cares what brit humes said

  • "respond to this video."

i already did. and they didn't post it. why? gay.

  • I find this video kind of shocking but hilarious cause Brit made himself looks so foolish. That kind of message would make someone think "So if im in another religion and I sleep with a bunch of women behind my wife's back, and then change my religion over to Christianity, then im saved!!" I have sadly heard people say stuff like this because that what other religious people have told them. Its rather sad, and Tiger's buisness is non of his, and his behavior on here is so non christian.

  • Seriously miserable old prick.

  • Brit Hume - what a pompous asshole. Tiger Woods personal problems are none of his f**n business and religion should have nothing to do with this discussion. And how can Kristol who I assume is still Jewish sit there and not react to that bigotry?

  • NEWS

  • If someone has read and understood the Bible, they would do all they could to avoid insulting or passing judgment on others who have posted comments. Because, whether or not you believe in God, that should not conflict with your logic, reasoning and recognition of truth, right? Therefore, if you claim to understand the Bible, you would know that when you insult your brothers and sisters, you have insulted yourself. If you don't understand it, don't bear false witness. You will account for it....

  • if someone of some other faith would have said something like this (asking some guy to convert to THEIR faith as the only means for redemption/forgiveness), then there would have been a furore

  • What a cunt.

  • Fuck Brit Hume.

  • @FreethinkingFTW Love Your post, I totally agree. That ugly bastard is a creep... Douche bag SOB

  • I would just like to add that I feel that the Christian idea of forgiveness and redemption is so condescending. The only way you can gain forgiveness and redemption in that faith is because the church and its participants have already deemed all other modes of existence inferior. Fundamentalism is such a plague.

  • haha wow what a moron

  • I am a Buddhist and Im not offended by this man; his speech comes from ignorance of what the Buddha Dharma truly is. Buddhism preaches self acceptance and that no one saves us but ourselves. That seems to me as the foundation for forgiveness and redemption. I just wish someone educated would get a chance to be on television, so much misinformation is out there.

  • @DitchPlainsMusic Quite true my friend, misinformation does run rampant and it does me good to see people like yourself that are not part of that majority.

  • @Jamboy37 Absolutely, It truly gives me a feeling of undying relief knowing that there are people out there, such as yourself, that can see through the lies and think for themselves.

  • and whats wrong with buddhism? You have to heal yourself, theres no magic god that comes down and says "BAM! Your forgiven!" in buddhism, you have to balance out bad deeds with good ones.

  • So presumably, after he has been forgiven then he can go back to realising that christianity is BS?

  • God loves you whether you like it or not, whether you admit it or not, whether you care about it or not, whether you accept it or not. So deal with it. Nothing you can do will reverse that love - Nothing. You can get angry all you want, comment with curse words all you want; the fact will remain true. That's the beauty about it - It's not up to you whether God loves you or not. You have NO choice :)

He loves you. He adores you. Because you're His child.

  • @MrBeanIsTheBestOfAll God bless you for your words!

  • @MrBeanIsTheBestOfAll

He loves you, no matter what. However if you happen to find the lack lack of evidence for his existence compelling enough to not believe in him, and still livea life of complete altruism, he will send you to burn. Forever. FOREVER.

I'm just making sure everyone understand that modern christians will pelt you with the hippie love shit 'til they're blue in the face and ignore that other side of God, that we can quite fairly declare -- clearly is not loving.

  • @KonijNx2 People refuse to accept punishment as a factor of love.

People refuse to see Justice as a great thing. God has a loving side and a Just side. Notice how much time he gives you to accept his love and turn to him. Its only at the moment of death that Justice is served. During all of your life, you are being offered grace. So stop complaining about hell

Like I said earlier, God will love you no matter what-so you can go all day talking about Christians-it wont change a thing.Deal With it

  • @MrBeanIsTheBestOfAll

Punishment is useless when there is no space for rehabilitation.

Justice? You honestly believe that a guy that works his entire life helping others deserves to die for not believing without evidence? You are a twisted individual.

MrBean, people are not given a choice, they are forced into life by accident of birth. They grow and see the World and a flawed book with no evidence supporting it, and then they die. Then God punishes them for it, for eternity.

  • @MrBeanIsTheBestOfAll "So stop complaining about hell". It's hugely disturbing that people in this day and age still have such a lack of moral sensitivity that they can believe this evil tripe.

The Christian God is a vile creation, a summation of effective bronze age creeds piled into one, slowly transformed by society into something more palatable, until you think about it.

Your God does not love. A loving 'parent' would never torture their child for such a stupid insurrection.

  • @KonijNx2

If a child's been good, what does he have to worry about?

Why are you so afraid/terrified by hell if you don't think you've done anything to deserve it?

You can continue on responding to me, but it still will not change the fact I stated earlier - thats the beautiful thing about truth: its true whether you believe it or not.

Read Romans 1 - Through general revelation, all people know in their hearts (whether they admit it or not - like you) that there is a God - there are no excuses

  • @MrBeanIsTheBestOfAll No, because this isn't about being good, it's about believing in something without evidence. Don't equate the two.

I'm not afraid of hell. Please don't make strawmen.

It's the truth? So you don't have faith?

I've read the Bible thank you very much.

I can just as easily say, through modern thinking all people know in their hears there is no God (including you). You see how insulting that is? MrBean, you are a condescending, twisted individual.

  • does he even know anything about buddhism at all?

  • Committing suicide is a Sin in select Christian faiths. A. SIN. . . and you actively CHOSE to turn to Christianity?! According to your Pope, your son is condemned to Hell. . . I just don't get it. You speak so highly of a faith that cast your poor son's soul into the twisted trees of Hell. I hope you find peace, Mr. Hume. I honestly HONESTLY do. But do NOT judge a faith/belief you know little to nothing about.

  • Living in Britian, if a British News Host, or any other British TV personality for that matter, had said what Brit Hume had said they would be sacked on the spot and their career finished.

  • @PolemicSource You would think that would have been the end of Brit. But, nowadays, it is a message for a specific audience that wants to hear it. In fact, I like watching his face as he says it. His face is just distant, expressionless, and the voice has this mechanical quality. It is almost as if, he really doesn't want to say his little speech, but he has to, to be in good graces with the audience that follows him. Political media is a waste of time

  • Great analysis, Brit!!! Why don't you go blow up a Middle East country while you're at it.

  • HAHAHAHA. This shit cracks me up. America is so fucked. Yes judgement day is near, Fox news will be covering it.

  • Brit Hume is retarded. You can't come buddhism and christianity.

  • Wonder if Brit Hume got on the forgiveness kick before or after his gay son killed himself.

  • This just goes to show how arrogant many americans are, expecially conservative christians.

  • @steagle1017 Curious as to why you limit arrogance to "americans." Because all the anti-Americanism is pretty arrogant itself. But in any case, I don't think it is arrogant of anyone to express his/her faith. In fact, I admire them over the compromisers who bow to the false god of political correctness. Funny how believing in absolute truth is considered "arrogant" by postmodernists, yet without absolute truth, "arrogance" cannot be defined! Can you say, "house of cards?"

  • @CowardsReplyAndBlock can you say, self rightious prick?

guess what of all the buddhists in the world one cheated on his wife, its unrelated

  • @littleski5 Hume did not base his comments on his "righteousness" but on the merits of Jesus Christ. I can think of nothing less man-centered than that!

  • "When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike, then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me."

  • To be a Buddhist, it simply means live life the simple way. We just ask for forgiveness from the Buddha, Dhamma (Truth) and Sangha (Monk communities) and move on with life.

We have to pay for everything we've done in life and we can't get away with it. That's what kamma is about. By embracing another religion will not help at all.

  • God has never been "the" problem..Religion is. Ghandi, who is far more wiser and holier than Hume and the rest of us, said it rightly, "God has no religion." We would all be One..if there were no religious distinctions. My Grandfather was listening to a Preacher one day, who was judging everyone who was not a Christian.(I was a little boy then.) After some time, I said, "Gramps, what religion are you?" Gramps replied, " I stay out of religion. I just try to love other people as they are."

  • @MrOhjok Religion is not the problem IMO. It's how we use it. Humans are talented at maximizing the harm in anything we get our hands on. Religion? Holy war, ignorance, unfounded feeling of superiority, persecution. Plants? Drugs, poison. Metal? Weapons. Trees? DMV papers to fill out.

Instead of deciding what religion others should say they are, we should decide what our religion tells us ourselves to do.

  • He said what he said because of his samskara (karmic conditioning). Through out our lives, we are all conditioned to react to differently to different situations How we react to a given situation depends on the experiences that we encounter. It is only through mindfulness that we can see through our samskara. What Mr. Hume said may have been karmically unskillful. But the question that I need to ask myself is. "Is my action of getting angry at him any less unskillful?"

  • Jesus and Buddha taught the same thing that we are already perfect beings or beings created in the image of God. Their instruction was intended as a road map, so to speak, to shedding the egotistical illusionary state of being in order to come to an enlightened understanding of our true nature.

  • @tallismortallic

What koolaid have you been drinking. Did you even read the bible?

  • @MercenaryNL

Actually I have studied the bible extensively. I have a bachelors degree from BBC&S (Baptist Bible College and Seminary) and a Master of Divination from Harvard divinity school. May I ask what Bible education you have?

  • @tallismortallic

Here's the dilema. Bible College is laughable.

Two, if your from Harvard with such creds, you should know every time you spout something you would need a citation so someone can verify it.

Since there's no way of me checking your cred (lie). If you would like to post your name, address, ssn, I'll be happy to verify.

Then again, if your smart, you would also know that giving out personal information on the net is quite dangerous.

    See what I did there?

  • You guys are still arguing about this? I thought you would be. Every religion thinks that every other religion is false, so everyone is even.

  • Oh and btw, I've always remained neutril as far as blue/red, Republican/Democrat, Fox News/MSNBC, but because of this comment I will never again watch anything you ever are a part of Brit Hume, not unless you publicly retract this divisive statement. You have lost all credibility.

  • Divisive speach like this is exactly why so many are moving away from the Christian faith and seeking balance elsewhere. It's a shame because people are so fed up with these kind of brainwashed, arrogant old geezers. I'm glad someone below me stated that he doesn't represent all Christians, because there are GREAT Christians, as there are of all faiths. Remption, Enlightenment, being saved. w/e. it's all the SAME with different lables. Get over "my book is the true book" and open your eyes!

  • Brit, I suggest that you turn to Buddhism. Maybe then you won't have to gasp for breath as you speak such words about Tiger Wood or others. Your attainment of "non-gasping" would be a terrific example for the world. Brit, it's people like you who are driving Christians by the tens of thousands each month to Buddhism. But you're no proxy for Christians or Christianity, a religion which has produced and continues to produce many fine, upstanding, good-hearted people.

  • I think the Dalai Lama in not criticizing other faiths for, as he has said (and I paraphrase), if religions cannot live harmoniously with one another then we cannot expect others to do so. I'm not only proud to be a Buddhist, I'm also quite happy to follow His Holiness' example and not engage is the kind of narrow-minded, religious warfare as we have seen practiced by Mr. Hume. I do not accept him as representing Christianity. Ever notice how Buddhists don't criticize Christianity?

  • This man has besmirched the great Hume name.

  • Hume is a nigger!

  • Hume is a nigger!

  • Why,,,,was Tiger Woods in need of forgiveness again? Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft.

  • " 'Lord, who has believed our message, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?' And so they could not believe, because Isiah also said, 'He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they might not look with their eyes, and understand with their heart and turn - and I would heal them' " - John 12:38-40.

God does not give up on you. By Jesus Christ dying on the cross for you, He has shown that He would rather die than live without you! No sin is too great for God!

  • "Look, you scoffers! Be amazed and perish, for in your days I am doing a work, a work that you will never believe, even if someone tells you." - Acts 13:41

"If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. Because you do not belong to the world, but i have chosen you out of the world - therefore the world hates you" - John 15:19

  • Oh god, if there is a god, save my soul, if i have a soul. lousy christians

  • He never said Tiger Woods NEEDS to be a Christian, he just said- in comparing with religions Buddhism and Christianity, Christianity offers more redemption on a comparison basis. You guys are putting words into Brit Humes mouth.

  • @GrievousMustang actually, he said that Tiger can only have true redemption if he becomes christian. This in itself is bigotry.

  • @Dindard

Once again, he didn't even say that he can only have true redemption if he becomes a Christian. Your dislike of Christianity kinda blinds you to what's actually happening in this video. He never said he can ONLY have true redemption at all; putting words in Brit Hume's mouth...

  • @GrievousMustang In Brit's own words:

"turn to the christian faith and you can make a total recovery.."

To most people this implies that if he doesn't he will not be able to make a "total" recovery. Also notice how he nocked Buddhism for not offering the right amount of redemption.

  • @GrievousMustang (cont'd due to youtube's dumb posting limits)

For the record I do not dislike christianity, I simply dislike when people advertise their religion to people claiming it is the only way. To you I may be putting words in his mouth but to me I am only reading between the lines.

  • @Dindard

My mistake for judging so. But there is nothing to be read in between the lines with his statement. He is not implying in any way that it is the only way to redemption. And he is not nocking Buddhism because Buddhism is not really a religion but a philosophy, and so there really is no redemption. Nirvana is just being enlightened to see like how Buddha saw, not redemption. So in essence, he is right that it does not have the same amount of redemption as Christianity.

  • Hume is an arrogant fuck. If I were Tiger, I'd pop him one in the fucking eye.

  • @loonmaniac that would definitely help tigers PR haha :P

  • What a fucking idiot. I am tired of hearing how FOX is an unbiased news source. It is a center for far right propaganda.

  • @rblight10 me too. all the time it's nothing but christians spouting off.

  • brit humes succeeded in making america just little bit more fascist, and it doesnt help when you have another fascist dickwheat william crystal sitting right next to him.

  • An ignorant fuck.

  • LOl, as if Christians in America even know what Buddhism is or even know how to be "Good" Christians themselves.

My response to American Christians is this, don't go around trying to sell vacuum cleaners to other people until you've cleaned your own carpets... Because you guys have plenty to clean up.

  • @Angelis469

You don't know that Jesus produced any miracles, you stupid blind idiot. Were you there? We can't even be sure there was a Jesus. Your make believe god is not the only way to heaven, if there even is a Heaven. The Christian god is a cold, heartless butcher. Screw your stupid bible and your moron religion.

  • @rblight10 Man r u an angry one! I appreciate your verve, but try directing your harshness to someone else. You ask..."if there is a Heaven...you even capitalized Heaven...could it be there's a part of you that wants to believe? If there is, or if it surfaces one day, I'd love to talk with you. God bless you.

  • @Angelis469

I used to be a born again Christian until I saw religion for the scam it is. I am not ignorant about what the bible says. That's why I am no longer a Christian. The bible is loaded with indefensible errors. Wanting to believe has nothing to do with it. I CAN'T believe. You have a better chance of converting Satan than you do of converting me.

  • @rblight10 No way! My words are not meant for any conversion...heck no. What I was saying was that I could sense that there was part of you questioning, and you juts admitted that you were Christian, it was obvious to me. With that, I respect you and your thoughts. But no this, I will keep you in prayer, because I want to. Also, I can see readily that you are smaert, I like that! TRUE believers can never lose their faith. My ? to u is were you ever really saved? I speak to you with respect.

  • @Angelis469

I hate when you people get so condescending. You think you have all the answers when in reality you know nothing. Please don't PRAY for me. Prayer does not work. There are scientific studies that prove this. You will only be talking to yourself. Your religion is a big ruse meant to control sheep. I reject it completely. It belongs in the history books. I am sorry, but anyone who believes in make believe ghosts in the sky is stupid.

  • @rblight10 I hate that people use the phrase "You people." Name the scientific studies...any/all of them. Too late, I already prayed for you.

  • @Angelis469glory amen!

  • @xDeeDotViBeZx Amen & Amen!

  • Brit Hume, Tiger Woods just told me that he will become a Christian (and a Christian from a denomination that you approve of at that!) when you become a real journalist.

  • If Brit Hume had a brain...nevermind...it's too much to ask for.

  • Christians have higher divorce rates than any other religion. If Tiger was a Christian he probably would have cheated even worse because he would have felt prayer would remove all the problems.

  • I wonder if this man knows what Buddhism is and if he has ever practiced it and seen the effects of it in his daily life. I' m from Rome, was Catholic and unhappy. That God they talk about has never given me anything but when everything looked like being lost the Buddhism arrived giving me the possibility of making a revolution in my life. It' s a fabolous path of interior research and self improvement and can be used by all people. I think it' s amazing. Mr. Hume, did you know this?

  • Being satisfied with nothingness is the noble and lonely journey of Atheism. Then if you're wrong, you get to be pleasantly surprised! Or don't forget to just look that way. [And any hell that YOU believe in is just a vindictive projection of your childhood church experience - pathetically Medieval]

  • Fundamentalists of all religions SUCK! They become the evil that they're obsessed with. CREEPY PEOPLE!

  • Fuck you Brit Hume..Fuck Christianity, you can be forgiven by doing the right things like helping charities or helping people in general, Tiger has the power to make a difference in our world ...Your a dumbass Brit.

  • This is coming from the man who just Mocked and Denied the fact that, there is a Huge Leak Oil in the Gulf .....He said......'Where is the Oil?" Unbelievable!!! Shame on You FIXED NEWS!

  • Brit Hume is a JACKASS!

  • well, I can't really argue with someone that has made a conscience decision not believe what's been written and has been written about by other historians of the era. My only comment is you should try to explore history about the man called the Christ. If your right in your beliefs neither one of us looses anything. If I'm right and your wrong, it will be an eternity of unhappiness for you.

  • Lets be honest here. No one knows what the relationship between matter and consciousness actually is. I agree with Sam Harris (End of Faith, Paperback, Pg. 235) that it is an unwarranted assumption to think that consciousness is reducibe only to the workings of the brain. Materialism is an unsupported claim like supernaturalism is.

  • Am I the only one thinking, who fucking cares both about a golfer's bonking habits or ridiculous advice from stupid Christians ?

  • who haven sin cast the frist stone

  • @lennonimagined That's bullshit and you should know it. That number was based on some incredibly sloppy research by the Lancet that was discredited in professional circles as soon as it was released. And Bin Laden didn't "twist" Islam - he embraced it and is doing exactly what is instructed - kill the infidel, spread islam worldwide. This crap about Islam being a religion of peace has got to stop. It is a warlike, totalitarian, supremacist, violent creed and a mortal threat to the USA..

  • funny, this is posted from atheistmediablog. They have 252 such videos, all denouncing the Christian faith. So if Christianity is so bad why don't they have videos saying how good atheism is, or what will will happen after death to all those that claim to be atheists. Seems to me if your belief is so great why don't they talk about all the great things it can do for you. I guess according to all the intellectuals that have responded to this video with there 4 letter rants sure changes my mind

  • Being a true intellectual means understanding that a firm belief that anything is 100% is absurd. Atheists don't believe anything occurs after death, as in entering a supernatural world. The brain is the source of are feelings and conscieness, which the last time I checked is a scientific fact. Once it dies, perception dies. There is no reason to be in a soul.

And the fact that Christianity promises a great future, makes you feel good and helps you live more morally, does not make it true.

  • @ShadowOfTheWave

Your first statement negates anything you say afterward. Post modernism, one sad way to view things in this world. Your distinction of no reason in a soul, I'm sure you have scientific proof of this? So in your search for proof, don't let hate blind you.

  • Do you have proof that souls exists? Just as a lack of proof does not invalidate something, just because you cannot disprove something does not make it any more logical. There are millions of things people believe in we cannot disprove, what makes a soul anymore likely?

We can scientifically prove that feelings are sourced from the brain, and that the concepts of guilt and conscienceness stem from feelings. When the Bible was written, people did not have a grasp on how these things work.

  • @ShadowOfTheWave I'm not trying to start an argument, but do you have any proof that souls do not exist? I'm a biologist, so I understand the underlying principles about which you speak.

  • @epicpolyphony he was talking it is unfalsifiable, try reading. did taking bio 101 make you a biologist because that's a very unspecific "position" you got there.

  • @watupplayboi God you are an asshole. I was just trying to understand ShadowOfTheWave's ideas on the concept. Damn. And I know its unfalsifiable, but so is the claim that there is no soul. You need to get your head out of your ass and start reading things completely.

  • fuck you hume. you gay drunk....slurring daffy duck motherfucker

  • yeah, christianity will solve everything.. psssssh... i hate fox news, drowning in their own religion

  • Oh, Brit... it's sad to see a decent journalist hobbled by magical thinking.

  • Bad enough Fox is far-right biased, now they're trying to be fucking CBN. Fuck Fox, fuck Hume.

  • Bollocks......

  • Tiger is going to win the Masters??? He came in fourth, just like at home. His kids have more character then he does. I'm done with Tiger.

  • @Subdriver592 who gives a shit, he will still go on to make millions..lol Is he fucking you? you seem pretty upset lol

  • Tiger had a nice family...

  • so what oh because ur a christian u can get all the forgiveness u want but when ur a Buddhist u cant!

  • Oh sure, only being Christian makes everything better, I'm rolling my eyes here. The guy doesn't have to be Christian, and you should leave people decide what they want to be without pushing them.

  • Riiiight. The Christian faith that has so inspired the Catholic church in its cover ups of rampant abuse. Sure. That faith will help Tiger.

(Yes, Hume is allowed to throw up on TV. Just don't ask me to pretend it smells like roses.)

  • Tiger: REPENT! And be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ!

  • @PraiseGod518 - Such arrogance! He's got his own religion and yours it not better, stronger, richer, more satisfying or filling. It's crust is not flakier, only it's adherents. Buddhists are not out there DEMANDING anything of you. REPENT YOURSELF AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS.

  • @PraiseGod518 ""The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one." [Mark 12:29]

So prophet Jesus pbuh confirmed the Oness of God.

  • @sam77L - "To those who take your cloak, give unto them your shirt as well." Please expound on this radical departure from human reaction and why this radical idea is NEVER discussed in Big-Box Xianity or practiced among Pharisees like yourself who merely like to hear themselves spout grandiose pronouncements and feel like they're Charleton Heston in Hollywood's "The Ten Commandments". And actually your god is three-headed....or now he's not? It doesn't matter anyway! FART!

  • @Kensmelardo - It was not I who first flapped my personal views on a propaganda channel. YES. It is a matter of 'first'. Had Mr. Hume kept his own private insecurities about his own lack of knowledge of whether god exists or not in the closet - where they belong - then I would've been knitting a toilet-cozy and keeping my snoot out of Mr Hume's demented parlor games. If he gets to flap about how he believes, then I'll flap about how I don't believe. It's that simple.

  • @KremeDeMentia - oh, if I'm so 'bitter', then why am I the one with a sense of humor and you're......oh well.

  • Update for Mr Hume: Tiger Woods appears to be recovering quite nicely without the slightest help from christianity UNLIKE, say, Mark Sanford, Gov. of South Carolina and a [self-professed] 'born again' xian, whose 'born again' xian wife just put asunder what their OWN BIBLICAL TENETS 'joined together'! Atta girl! She finally figured out what it's good for!

  • @Kensmelardo - This country's most 'valuable characteristic' is it's freedom of speech, which has not been abridged either in Hume's proselytization or in my freedom to not take what anyone else says at face value - simply because they want me to unquestioningly! I do not see life at all the way a religionist does and I will unceasingly point out religious bull-pucky whenever I see it. This is nothing new, so lay off the drama.

  • AMEN, BRITT...real men tell the truth...realer men and REAL GODS die for other peoples sins...thank you JESUS CHRIST!

  • Brit Hume is an idiot! That's why most American, supposedly Christians, divorces more than any other religions. American has 60% divorce rate and most claim they are Christians.

  • Forgiveness and redemption is not external, it is internal and spiritual. It completely depends on your faith and believe. If tiger believes in his faith whole heartedly he can forgive and redeem himself.

If one does an act knowingly that it is immoral then only he can overcome by penance. Inner soul cannot be cleanse by just words or acts of purification. One has to feel the pain that one has cause and feel the human feeling. He has to rise above himself and then forgive himself.

  • Why must every format of every electronic device be "upgraded"? The previous format of commenting was JUST FINE! SHEESH! And no, my phone bill has not dropped since deregulation promised that it would keep prices down.

  • Hume is entitled to say what he feels. What I can't understand, as a Christian, is how so many are "followers" of Fox in general, as if it's ultra right-wing views were somehow MORE Christian than any other network -- and ultimately, how they can reconcile their devotion to Fox News with the Entertainment division of the same company, a purveyor such incredible filth during Prime Time every evening. So much for patriotism: the guy that OWNS the network is an Australian.

  • @caljees - maybe the "followers" aren't the sharpest tools in the shed..... or maybe they're just as cynical as the unsaved foreigner who manipulates them into 'patriotic' militias who want to secede. Your astute observation is stunning in it's solitude. By the way, have you ever seen the episode of The Simpsons in which Bart ends a pre-dinner prayer with "so god, thanks for nuthin'!"? His logic helped seal my atheism. An oldie....but goodie!

  • Brit 'the basset hound' Hume is such a right wing douchenozzle.

How arrogant can you possibly be to tell another person to drop his beliefs and adapt yours?

  • Nibbana is for those who have eradicated greed, anger and delusion.

  • O poor suffering beings. Good luck to all while travelling through the sea of samsara.

May you be well and be happy! May all attain supreme bliss - nibbana

  • 3 But you are a shield around me O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. 4 To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. 5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. 6 I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side.

    Psalm 3:3-6

Turn to me and be saved, all of you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

    Isaiah 45:22

  • i am not sure , forgivness and redemption by who. u or God

  • I was ready to brush off his comment as coming from a nut, but then he has a poin

It is true that the Christain faith would allow him to be forgiven if he repents and is sincere (He already confessed) All that he has done could be forgotten.

  • Thats the problem with Christianity. You commit a horrendous crime and all you have to do is repent and be forgiven. You can commit crimes continuously and Jesus will continually forgive you as long as you repent. Buddhism however, asks you to take responsibillity for your own actions and bring true change from within yourself. To be mindful of what you are doing and to realise how you can affect other people and affect you too. Some call this karma.
