@DrHasslein The Iron Lady? Why? The Trailer made it look terrible. Have a look at it again. Meryl Streep can, and usually does, provide great performances, but based solely on the trailer her impersonation of Thatcher looks like shallow mimicry to me.

@Markunator Tinker tailor solder spy is over-rated/flawed. Watch the Alec Guinness tv version instead. Its available on Youtube.

Drive is quite a hypnotic watch, but its also quite a cold experience in some ways, and its hard to tell if its a commentary on American fascist cinema (Arguably due to its grotesque depiction of violence), or a straight up Art house version of American fascist cinema (it makes you root for a psychopath.)

A remake of Straw Dogs really baffles me too, it's simply not necessary. As for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, well I didn't think the original Swedish version was anything special so don't really have much of an opinion on the US version, only that once again it proves Hollywood is fast running out of any original ideas. I am looking forward to the new Cronenberg film A Dangerous Method though.
