No, when the character limit is up the Pre will prevent you from typing anymore. When this happens just press enter to send the message and type your next one and hit enter to send. It is just like an instant messenger on a Computer except it has a character limit

When composing text, can you select multiple contacts all at one time or do you have to select one at a time like on the Treo?????

i dont think you answered the question. I believe jason wants to know the same thing i do. R u able to put for example 10 names under a group name like STAFF, then just type in STAFF and send 10 text messages? I know other phones can and i am hoping the pre can, my moto q can't and it is so annoying! lol

Ok I don't believe that will be possible with the Pre I haven't seen anything. Then again someone may be able to write an app for it or it may be included at launch.
