I have watch a few of your vids and I gotta ask how often do you do this. Not just the vids but just popping in a pepper and munch away. I would also like to know what your blood pressure is like, I know that spicy food can help metabolism, your a fit looking bloke. Cheers and thanks for the great vids.
Awesome Neil. Always love your vids, Man! I ate a whole Winter seven pod...much smaller than the one you ate and it was crazy hot. My throat was very painful but much worse - my ears hurt!! Haven't had that happen before. Thanks for your great videos.
That's hilarious. I'll be sure to watch those videos!! I put up the video of my experience, as well. When it comes to painful pepper videos, the more the merrier, right? Thanks to Neil for showing us the way!
Awsome video!. I'm wondering a bit about the length of the burn,as I understand the most intense lasted 10 min but when was the burn all gone ? I'm planting some 7-pods today and I'm looking forward to this.
its a lil winter 1.. i have 3 diff 7 pods atm, this 1,, looks nagaish and Pointed, then got the "jonah" strain, thats roundish and lunpy, and got the Yellow 7 pod, prob test that 1 next week, and awaiting chocolate 7 pod seeds to arrive (thay apparently hotter than others) 7 pod x naga sounds Excellent
thanks, all goood a lot of my family have stomach probs, chron's.. so im thinking they help somehow as im fine, apart from being allergic to whinging, all good here :-)
I tried a small piece of one at our annual ChiliMeet in Oulu, Finland. Twice. The burn felt like someone put a knife through my tongue. For me, it was more intense than a Naga, but I _did_ take on a second piece, a little bit larger than the first, after about 15-20 minutes from the first. The feeling was, after all, very strong, but at the same time, very rewarding.
I love your videos. They have a scientific feel to them which is more enjoyable than the silly twerps writhing and screaming after eating a pepper on a dare. I grow peppers and managed to get a seven pod plant - I have 10 peppers on it so far (not bad for a Canadian garden..ha ha.) The peppers look quite different from these, though. They are rounder with a nobby end and are all rough and pebbly. Are there different variants that look so unalike? I've subscribed. Great job!!
hey thanks mate i love doing them and hopefully lots to come, and yea there are a few diff varieties of the 7 pod, i have this 1, the Jonah Strain a Yellow 7 pod and another on way, hey got a pic and ill show to a few whom may know
Can you get these anywhere in Australia?? I'd love to get my hands on some and do a video reply, I'll only try a 3rd or I'll throw up though ;-)You are the king of fire eating my friend. I have some Dorset seeds I got off you, when is the best time to plant them? Would you be interested in trying 1 grown in a West Australian summer??
no i don't think anywhere has them i was just lucky ;) and as its winter now, none till next season.. Spring if planting outside , or now if inside under lights (i am, to get head start next season) and Yess, ill give it a Go :D shit yea..
Thanks,, hic, yea it was Hectic and actuallly didn't feel like food or drink after it for ages, pretttty close to a naga, and can't wait to do 1 in the midddle of summer, with a Summer Naga to seeeeeee "oh yay"
Well i have seeds to grow of that and the Yellow scorpion, and planting them now for next season, So Unless Some nice person in Australia has a few Big Nasty Fresh Ripe Scorpions to send me to try, have to wait till prob December..
and ill have a look at those pics tonight and get back to ya(been a bit busy, lol)
neil, i'm ready to make another order from ya... this next order is strictly for the heat !... i want a bunch of seeds of all the top rated for the heat..send me a line with a list and a price.. thanks mate
Enjoy all your videos mate, would you rate this one worst than the Red Savina Hab? I've been trying a selection of the hottest ones only a 1/3 at a time though and even doing that is insanely hot. Full props for doing a whole one every time!!! Can't wait for the next one
I dont know if this is the same thing or not, but I once grew a pepper called the 'Caribbean red' [almost certain it was a caribbean red]. Its not hot as the red savina; however when I picked the ripe red pod and cut it open, it seemed to have another inner pepper or covering around the seeds. Almost like a pepper within a pepper. The covering/husk was green and not red like the pepper.
yea, i ve had that in a few (can't remember if it was the Caribbean red though)
I never tried them, as grew before started testing,, but got some tru to type from the seed savers, for this season to grow... so ill check out that trippy inner Pod thing.
If some1 from THP knows bout this, can they pop a comment in please
Thanks Neil, so what you are saying is that the 7 pot is nearly as hot as the Naga, but not quite? This one looked alot more painful than the others to me. Have you any hybrids that you have developed? Also, in your vast experience what is the best way to cool down afterwards from eating such peppers? Thanks again for putting your mouth and your sanity on the line.
no Probs, and prob cause was nervous made it bit worse, but Very close to naga heat..
yea a few Hybrids, 3 im plnting this coming season to see if they are the same as this lot, so see how they all go.. no naga cross's though
dunno bout cooling down, prob milk, yoghurt be good, usually nothing and enjoy the burn to see how long it actuallly goes and any food/liquid spoils it. i have coke with dinner usually but that just makes the burn sting weird.
hi there neil just letting you know i love watching these vidos on chillies that you do and im also wondering what other chillies that your planning to do videos on
I've grown some red & yellow seven pods this year, not had the balls to eat them whole though!
