  • @SatanSquarepants Absence are good... really good... but the fact you say Arch Enemy is over rated. Who the fuck are you trying to impress with your shit opinion? Are your parents siblings who also have their heads up their asses? I think so... grow the fuck up you silly cunt!

  • @siclysatisfied haha good one faggot, just cause i think their over rated doesn't mean im saying their a shitty band just listen to michael amott its no secret he fucking shreds but most of their little fan boys like you would just rather jack off to angela instead of actually listening to her mediocre lyrics or her not that impressive growl go look up an arch enemy video and count how many people who wanna know what her orgasm sounds like.is it a crime i prefer the absence? go kill yourself bud

  • This is my favorite metal song right now,saw these guys in montreal and they kicked total ass!

  • Desde ahorta se a convertido en uno de los grupops que mas me gusta, ES LA ZORRRRAAA ESTE GRUPO !!!!!!

  • The Absence is my number one Melodic Death Metal that makes my head banging! lots of aggressions to their songs. They're fucking great!

  • Does anyone know where I can find the lyrics for this album online? I can't seem to find them anywhere and its one of my favorite melodeath/thrash releases >.<

  • 1st solo at 1:18 is absolutely awesome, whammy dive, three-string sweep...pure awesome (though so is the 2nd haha). Also, does anyone else detect a hint of Megadeth in the rhythm guitar? (as in, the riff starting at 1:06)

  • What about the shred off!!! I wanna hear the winners final solo on the CD!!!!

  • I love that these guys look like hillbilly's ... as I am an aspiring hillbilly

  • lots of in flames influence / jester race feel.

I Like riders of the plague much better personally. This seems way to popish.

  • love this band. heard a clip of their guitarist on an ibanez video once and was instantly hooked by his playing. looked em up and turns out they're from Florida, just like me. They couldn't get any better. The new album needs to be one of those metal albums everyone has in their collection, if it doesn't reach that level, I'll lose all faith in the music industry...

  • @crazytacoburger i agree. i love them as well. theyre the most melodic death metal band out there as far as im considered

  • @nejikid lookup "Insomnium: Down With the Sun" . Now that's melodic!!!! Tell me what you think :)

this band kicks ass too though!

  • I don't hear any In Flames in this, new or old...

  • Chabbar is here! Awesome!!!!!!!

  • in flames ripoff

  • @NOBAMAftw yep. just like all thrash metal is a Metallica ripoff, right?

  • @AirgunAddict256 genres are a mask for plagiarism, thrash metal is just metal with a polka beat behind it

  • @NOBAMAftw what the fuck are you talking about?

  • @jayfatha all thrash metal rhythms are sped up polka beats and these guys are clearly ripping off in flames

  • @NOBAMAftw No, polka beats are slowed down thrash beats.... How many people listen to Polka over Thrash... come on.. and No in flames and the absence are not alike... listen to the intricacies. and actually ...everything

  • @nighttwolf67 actually hes kind of correct. im pretty sure polka was around long before thrash. and hes probably referring to in flames' first 2 albums and yes, this sounds fairly similar. but it is the same genre so its kind of dumb to say its a rip off, you might as well say maiden was ripping off priest. but thats ok if this sounds similar to old in flames, cause in flames themselves are certainly doing a horrible job at it

  • The singer has an amazing beard!!

  • Sweet

  • This album is pretty damn good. At first I was overjoyed, then sad to the fact that it wasn't as good compare to the two previous albums, but as time went on, I grew on to it's style on the third album. I love it! People should listen to the album over and over again - it will stay in your head.

Right now I'm currently listening to Deepest Wound, The Bridge, and Vengence and Victory.

My only complaint is that the solos seem too short! I WANT MOAR!!!! :D

  • this band is awesome

  • I love this song. THE ABSENCE managed to combine Melo Death+ some aspects of Thrash Metal. Genious

  • saw them on the 24th amazing!

  • I prefer their old stuff, to be honest, but this is still pretty good.

  • Is this a debut-album? Because if it is... VERY NICE

  • @angelofdeath080189 Nope, I believe they have a couple others.

  • @angelofdeath080189 It's their third album. I like their second one the best I think.

  • MetalBlade, I swear you guys are probably the best record company around right now. Pretty much every band that you guys signed are fucking amazing and actually talented instead of those shitty repetitive scene kid breakdown bands.

  • @skateandcreate75

    ur so right =)

  • @skateandcreate75 agree but nuclear blast does well also

  • @theallseeingpotato Yeah man, I like some Century Media stuff too. But yeah Nuclear Blast has a lot of good bands and black metal on their roster.

  • WOAH....they're good. REALLY good.

  • This is AWESOME! Another great band added to my list

  • I dont think Arch Enemy is over rated. I would have said In Flames is so over rated, the absence FUCKING RULES

  • that is fucking amazing finally they come out with a long awaited album

  • metalsucks. net is streaming the entire album for free, fuking epic!

  • @THEGATHERING20 Thanks for the heads up.

  • hope this album is better than the last one. riders was a weak album.

  • @halfdeadjp How the fuck was Rider's weak...? Or well in your opinion?

  • @EnemyUnbound none of the songs attracted my attention. the melodies on from your grave just dominated. i do love echos on riders tho.

  • @halfdeadjp check out world divides thats my favorite on riders.

  • metalunderground has had the song maelstrom posted for around a week. Anyone who hasnt got a chance to hear this I suggest you check it out. Also they will be premiering a video on metalundergound but I dont know when.

  • i've been waiting 2 years for this album. these guys are the best american metal band around right now.

they brought back the gothenburg sound, when all the gothenburg bands went eurocore.

  • man, id be pissed to be the drummer going into a tour with serious neck/back injuries in a car wreck lol

  • these guys sound way European but they are American which is pretty cool

  • Fuck Halo Reach. Enemy Unbound on 9/14!!!

  • O cara eh o @RafinhaBastos cabeludo auhauhauha

  • cant fvcking wait for this album!

  • Comment removed

  • This shit sounded like Colony era In Flames but more metalcore influenced. The only thing that sounded like The Absence was the lead guitar. The vocals even changed.

  • Riders of the Plague was one of the best of 2007! this track sounds too simple.. with the riffs and all...i hope the rest of the album is heavier & better.. I HOPE coz i Love that previous album too much.

  • @RasKiddo go to amazon .com mp3 downloads section and preview the entire album 30 seconds of each track and trust me if it doesnt leave you feeling astonished then your a twat.

  • @THEGATHERING20 I heard the whole album last night. Let me tell you something right now, in my 15+ years of listening to all kinds of metal, Enemy Unbound is the best melo death album I've ever heard. I was actually tearing up listening to it.

  • @FamiDude sounds epic from the little tasters ive had, cant wait for album to come out im just itching everyday in anticipation for it lol... if you say its as good as your saying i cannot fucking wait.

  • 3 years waiting for the absence to release a new album, this is going to be a great album, kickass song

  • this sounds as soft as their first album; From Your Grave, but well, i like it

  • Hey there Necrofagg0t and Sugessad, We didnt change our sound and we didnt soften up. This track is the one we thought would help us gain more fans so we can get on bigger tours and its easy to remember the name of the record people want to buy when its the title track. Go out and buy the cd September 14th and listen to it. I promise we wont let you down. Dont get mad over one song duder.

  • @PatPintavalle Hey Pat, although I agree that it doesn't quite sound like your previous work, it still has the signature The Absence touch to it.

Besides, it's the internet, some things are best taken with a grain of salt ;)

  • @PatPintavalle ok sweet thats what I was hoping

  • Comment removed

  • @PatPintavalle Hey Pat what's up? Have to admit that after listening to this for a few days (and loving it ) I read a comment from someone somewhere else saying that they weren't holding out much hope for this album from the sound of this track because it was almost "poppy" and for a moment the fear came over me and it was horrifying to think that this might be the heaviest track. But I think we all know that there's no fucking way! You guys kick ass, can't wait to catch you live.

  • @PatPintavalle Oh so this is the so-called TV song. Phew got me worried for a second there. :D

  • @PatPintavalle Well. I picked up the album and I draw back every word I said. Truly amazing. Not as aggressive as Riders but very damn good in its own way!

  • They softened up their sound. Meh...

  • Fuck this. Sounds just like arch enemy. Completely changed the sound. There's no punch left. Guess they couldn't hit the hat trick. I'm pretty fucking mad.

  • @necrofagg0t You've clearly not listened to much Arch Enemy or The Absence. This song sounds pretty similar in style to stuff off of Riders of The Plague and is far heavier than anything that Arch Enemy has put out since Angela Gossow joined. Guys, the new stuff sounds great! Glad to see good death metal coming out of the local scene again! We don't take the title of death metal capital of the world for nothing. ;)

  • MELODIC THRASH AT ITS BEST :D

  • very sick band !!! can't wait for the album

  • Just worked on the music video shoot yesterday, can't wait until its done for everyone to see.

  • FUCKING HEAVYYYYYYYY!

  • Been listening to From Your Grave and Riders Of The Plague non stop cant fucking wait for Enemy Unbound The Absence fucking rules \m/

  • Shit anywhere to download the single? You'd think they would have it for sell until the album comes out.

  • BADass metal band from Tampa have\ From Your Grave/ ass kicking cd

  • Fucking love this band, very pleased (and excited) about this new album

  • Comment removed

  • brutal. been waiting for this

  • This song is great! I hope the rest of the album follows suite and even surpasses this track on the excellence scale.

  • That is one hell of a track. Ladies and gentlemen, Riders of the Plague has a contender for my most listened to album.

  • arch enemy is so over rated, the absence is much better

  • @SatanSquarepants you tell em satan.

  • @SatanSquarepants yeah, can't stand angella

  • @SatanSquarepants Early Arch Enemy is amazing (1990's) with Johan Liiva on vocals, those albums are killers with him on as they had such a powerfull sound back then, those albums influenced plenty of bands and im sure The Absence is one of them, but yeah Arch enemy is nothing like the band they were 10-14 years ago The Absence is much better than most bands ive heard in a very long time.

  • @SatanSquarepants i personaly disagree i think both bands are fricken sexy at what they do :) but yes the absence is heavily underrated but arch enemy are still amazing

  • @rafael123p - The guy is a prick and has no clue about good metal, 'Arch Enemy' are one of few bands nowadays that can actually play their shit live flawlessly.

  • @SatanSquarepants - Overrated? Hardly, Chris Amott is an amazing guitar player.

  • @SatanSquarepants Disagree!

  • @SatanSquarepants Spot on brother.... arch enemy are boring nowadays

  • @SatanSquarepants your username wins

  • Fuck yea dude, finally a new album. I kinda wish they would use the same style vocals they used on the song seven demons but still a kick ass song from a kick ass band.

  • i WANT!!!!!

  • fucking epic. at last a new album from them. \m/ \m/

  • I like the intro alot but they do sound like A/E but thats not bad either

  • Melodic song is melodic.

  • the intro is great! the rest... mhhh

  • @66sicbastard agree

  • @TheDestroyedBeloved That's because it's the same genre.

  • Good shit

  • Very nice. :)

  • comes out on my birthday. thumbs up

  • @blgdinger3 same here

  • @blgdinger3 Comes out 5 days after my birthday, shitty timing.

  • @blgdinger3 lucky

  • @blgdinger3 what are you getting for your birthday then ;)

  • @rafael123p probably some fucking coal and retarded shit I don't want. Been asking for Jewel of Russia vodka for 2 years!

  • @blgdinger3 so your not getting the album D:?!

  • @blgdinger3 what a fucking intense birthday present you got yourself :L

  • IMO - THE BEST American metal band today. I can't wait. Will pre-order now!!!

  • @westernfilet Apparently you've never listened to As I Lay Dying. ;)

  • @TruthBeingTold I have a little, but have more faith in this band being the flag-carrier for US metal than AILD.

  • sounds like Amon Amarth

    wich is good

  • there is a justin biever fan in here who else is going to dislike this

  • @jgadiaz loner

  • really good

  • great

  • Very good, if a bit generic.
