It targets more aspects of development across the spectrum than really any other discipline there is. People not comiited to fitness? Crossfit ENCOURAGES people to be dedicated to fitness and is the purpose of it, to be able to do any workout and you need to be able to perform on all facets of fitness.

hmm... I would have to say crossfit is in fact very dangerous that is if you don't properly prepare (ie. warmup, stretch) just like lifting weights or running is. I hear people saying this every day but I have yet to hear someone who can drop into the splits say that crossfit is the cause of many sports injuries.

I love this. I'm a girl who does weight lifting and I take my exercise/nutrition seriously. I've gone to Crossfit a few times but I don't like how pretentious and smug they can get about their workouts and diets. Some Crossfit gyms are nicer than others. Still, I'd rather be a Crossfit elitist than cardio bunny who can't lift more than fifteen pounds or eat more than a salad.

I practice Crossfit and I could not stop laughing. It captures many of the stereotypes...from BOTH sides of the argument.

I think what turns people off to"elite" sports are the individuals they meet who take themselves and what they do WAY TOO SERIOUSLY. Give me an athlete (Crossfit or otherwise) who is positive and supportive any-day.
