I think its because Justin is so much more mature in the second and later seasons,, but then again they had to make him like that so that we see how justin and brian mature together.

While I do like Brian and Justin together, I really don't like these two scenes. Even though Justin is behaving like a child, I don't like watching Brian treating him like this. When I first watched the series, I really didn't like the dynamics of their relationship at this stage of the show. But I really came to love their relationship as it evolved over time. Guh, I was so upset when I found that out (about Spider). That's how I found the show to begin. Then after I watched a couple of seasons on YouTube, I went out and bought the DVDs for all five seasons. If I hadn't seen some of season one and two on here, I never would have watched it. Shows you how short sighted studio execs can be.
