@soultaker82 true. this ending often appears every 6 times a game over is attained. As for flashback commentary, when i played MK in arcades for the first time in 1992, i somehow had the convenient misfortune to have the pit game over shown, and my mother (who was there with me) was obviously disgusted at how gruesome it was at the time.

It's being 20 years since this game was released and the "kreepy" feeling of this end screen still lives... the pit and pit bottom are the most memorable stages in fighting game history.
