  • "I just think gays were meant to live in sin"

    "Yeah, it's hotter that way".

  • I didn't know that Aquaman was on Kids In The Hall.

  • Kids in the Hall rule

  • Kevin totally looks like Billy from Power Rangers...

  • "I admit it, I'm horny." XD

  • i say issue the way dave does. i'm a straight girl, but i understand why my dad makes fun of me. haha(:

  • the actual steps these sketches are based on are right at Church and Wellesley on the west side of the street... they were removed when too many people were cruising and hanging around there. there's a subway restaurant there now

  • @dubconcrete i miss those steps.

  • This was years ahead of time.

  • they mock a real place in toronto where lots of gay guys sits on steps in front of the cafe in the 90s... dont know if the place is still around

  • damn...Scott's legs are smokin'

  • i love being a canadian gay fag! arent we all?

  • Wow...! I got the song. Thank-you v-much.

  • What is the song from the show ? At the start of every episode

  • 'Having an Average Weekend' by Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet

  • I think Paul Bellini died. Seems like I remember them doing a tribute show to him.

  • I think he is alive since he showed up in the trailer for the new KITH mini series "Death Comes To Town"

  • No... the show died and Bellini danced on its grave.

  • @darkb4lightt As far as I know Bellini didn't die. He was in the intro of episode 1 of KITH's new show Death Comes to Town. And he aged pretty well! I don't know for sure if he hasn't died since then but I doubt it.

  • I gotta admit, Dave looks more like a lesbian than a gay man.

  • @theFightingFan i was juuuuuuust gonna ask if he was a guy or a girl in this skit lol

  • @theFightingFan: Wow, he totally does. lol

  • When was this, and for what, what series...?

  • you do not know kids in the hall? early 90's, for the CBC and...again, kids in the hall

  • Well I'm 18, so I was like 2 when this is on, plus I've only been living in Canada for a little over 6 years. Tx for the info!

  • that's prob true, but I'd say that that's the rule across the board ... about 90% of people are unbearable, no matter where you go. The 10% minority are those that hate their own kind.

Kids in the hall is awesome, because they basically remain in character -- they always play themselves. When they are women/gay/stupid, they ask, what kind of woman/etc. would I be? So Dave, the good looking one, is always the shallow one.

It's basically a thinking of the soul, that which is separate from ...

  • ... (con't) the body, or the superficial conditions, however u want to define that. Then again, this soul is mostly based on appearance and the body (since Dave, the good looking one, is always superficial, or confident, etc., even in his women), so there is a debate as to how far that goes...

  • I have the hugest crush on kevin :) Love him

  • Judging by the direction the boys leave from the Steps, I assume they're going to The Cellar.

  • Comment removed

  • Steps always was one of my favorite things the Kids did. Thanks for posting!

  • swo and iec112 parents

  • what kind of shorts is dave wearing. they look like spanx

  • "Issues make people angry."

    Indeed.

  • i think we should just get government out of marriage completely and that would solve all the problems

  • I don't think that would solve anything because its the religious bible thumpers objecting to gay marriage.

The main problem is that the goverment is too spineless to stand up to the religious right.

If the government stayed out of it completely than gays would never be allowed to get married.

  • ok if there where no laws on marriage at all then anyone could get married. the problem is the fact that all the goverenment benefits that come with getting married so get rid of those and the marriage license then anyone can get married

  • Ok there are two people that can perform marriages.

    Religious leaders and government officials.

If you take marriage out of the hands of the government than it will become exclusive to religious groups and they are the source of the anti-gay sentiments in the first place.

  • you forget if there is no law for marriage then it just becomes a personal thing so it doesnt matter who marries you. no marriage being recognized by the goverenment is how it should be everyone equal. marriage is a personal decision and that is where it should stay it is simply no ones business who i marry or if i am married, certainly not the goverenment and especially anyone who tells me i cant do it.

  • Isn't it weird how gay marriage is still seen as a minefield when all it really is is a simple case of two people of the same sex wanting to marry? And why shouldn't we support peoples right to make a committment to be completely miserable for the rest of their lives, or until they get good lawyers to end the union and walk away with half of what the other person owns.

  • Its the inability of most countries to separate religion and state. One religion affect the lives of all, its something that shouldnt happen.

  • In Ireland we had that exact problem, where Religion and State were inseperable, and this was something which should never have happened, I feel. It led to even the most low level religious representative having power equal to that of a judge, abusing it and in many cases telling people they are undeserving of God's love. They then covered up the abuse, both physical and sexual as well as the rape of children. Hypocrisy on a massive, sinister and evil scale.

  • KITH, The world is lost without them

  • i wanna find the one where they go to the movie !!!

  • I admit it... I'm horny

    XD

  • "it's hotter that way" hahahahahahaha

i always liked these shorts almost as much as the buddy monologs.

  • what the name of the guy in the red T-shirt?

    i know the rest though

  • The actor's name is Dave Foley... The Character that he's playing is named Riley...

  • oh wait HE LOOKED DIFFERENT HERE

    i know him anywhere

  • ITHUES!

Definitely one of my favorite sketches they did.

  • I've been hoping to see a reunion special sometime...I'm looking forward to that BIG time. I love this show SO much! T_T

  • There already was a reunion like 6 or 7 years ago.. I believe theres a DVD of it, they did a live tour.

  • when was this made, for what show?

  • its a skit from the Kids in the Hall, a Canadian comedy troup that was around in the '90s

  • Yes tx, Ive researched it, ironicly the boush one is the only gay one in the bunch in real life

  • actually theres another one whose gay, though he's not in this skit. his name's Paul Belini, he typically only appears on-screen in standard Paul Belini attire, which is just a towel, lol. hes also a writer for the show, I think

  • I didn't know Paul Bellini was gay... guess you learn something every day.

  • Yeah, Bellini was a writer for the show. He was featured in a couple of contests on the show, such as the "Touch Bellini" contest. A lucky viewer got to meet him and poked him with a wooden spoon. They both smiled.

  • @randompocketsand Paul Bellini has a column in the Toronto gay magazine Fab as of 2011

  • STEPS Rules!

  • from what year is this?

  • and it was only what, 15 years after this skit before this issue became resolved?

  • it's impossible for scott to ever look bad :P.....

  • "I'll admit it. I'm horney."

    xD

  • i don't think straight peopke should marry rotfl

  • You know, you laugh.. but you're right. Most people shouldn't marry OR have kids. The movie Idiocracy is a hilarious hyperbole of the reasoning behind that.

  • "It's a complicated issue, eh?"

"What is so complicated about basic human rights?"

    "I don't know."

  • Isn't this video ironic given the current marriage legalization in California? And this sketch is what? 14 years old?

  • They're from Canada. We got the gay marriage here now, my friend...

  • oi loiked dat

  • The dashing James Deanisk good looks of Scott Thompson. LOL

  • HILARIOUS!

  • goose, as one straight guy to another, you;re clueless....wooooooooooooow

  • What are you talking about?

  • wooooooooooow

  • "well, my relationships really dont matter" lololol

  • now that was funny

  • FUcking hilarious!

  • hahahaha I miss the Church street steps..

  • Sorry Kev, but Dave is cuter.

  • If he shaved his beard, I think Dave Foley could do a very convincing Clay Aiken. He certainly looks like it here.

I don't know who's cuter, Foley or McDonald.

  • Foley's not nearly fat enough to be Clay Aiken, and Scott Thompson isn't gay enough to be Clay Aiken.

  • hahahahaha!

  • I generally think it depends on what look you like either young and femine features cutieesque Dave Foley or the slightly sultry Buddy Holly looks of Kevin mcdonald.

  • This should have been a spin off show!!

  • Scott Thompson is a beefcake, I never noticed that before.

  • "I believe they were meant to live in sin."

    "Yeah, it's hotter that way."

  • I KNEW Harry Potter was gay!

  • scott was so funny. He never minded making fun of himself

  • Ever notice how Scott's always the slutty one, whether he's supposed to be male/female, straight/gay?

  • that's because he's slutty in real life, hahaha :) hey, may as well enjoy your fame.

  • Man I miss those steps! They were a huge part of gay Toronto.. Thanks for putting this up!
