  • Great video, musi1714, theres no need to send anything back to Canon. These are mass produced machines. The camera has a tolerance (say +/- 5) and the lens will have a tolerance (say +/- 5)if both components come off the assembly line but at opposite ends of the tolerance scale (arbitary figure -10) , then all you've got to do is 'Micro adjust', so that they work together as a combined and accurate assembly.

Both components would pass Canons QA checks, and are perfectly serviceable.

  • any thing over +15 i would hava trip to canon.....

  • So what do I do with zoom lenses? for example with my 24-70 2.8? Just bought the 5d mark2 but feel I have problems with this lens .....

  • @remcovandenbosch I would like to know that too I have 24-105 zoom, I have issues with the well known "soft focus" issue where photo appears to be in focus when taking and seeing it in the LCD but when I blow up to 100% in computer, the focus area looks out of focus and also there seem to be no area that is even sharp!

  • nicely done, easy to folow... but do u think it works wel taking a picture of a pc screen?

my tokina 100mm on 50D +19 and tamron 17-50 +10 never had probs with the 400d strange

  • Excellent and easy to follow instructions. Now all I have to do is to measure all my lenses.

    Thanks

  • Very Helpful
