  • yea

  • nice rollby.....204 was on the starlight last month!

  • Thanks! They do get around, huh??....THANKS!...Doc

  • Train #4 runs to Chicago from LA. It becomes train #3, and runs back to LA. BUT...I've never seen the same locomotive twice...(YET)...come through here. I've been looking too. I'm sure that they pull the loco's and clean and service them after the run, before they add them to another consist. It would be interesting to find out what Amtrak says about it, and what their policy is. I'll ask around, and let you know!...THANKS!...Doc

  • Knowing Amtrak, they tend to run the same units over set routes (i.e. from YouTube videos of the Coast Starlight, it'll usually be any unit between 112 and 121, with the exception of a Dash 8 from time to time). From what I could catch, it looked like 204 was in the lead, and even if not by sight, by the way this K5LA horn was tuned. If anything, one can catch a 4 on the lead unit.
