The reason we have free speech is to allow people to say things that others do not " like" to hear. There would be otherwise no reason for free speech. The reason we have free speech is to allow people to say things that others do not " like" to hear. There would be otherwise no reason for free speech. If we only allow people to speak only when we like what we hear, it is not free. I do not like her manner, but I would not have joined that mob to shout her down and curse her out. . When the tsunami hit Indonesa the US Govt gave $950M, while our people gave $1.8B. Not to say that the $185M Canadians dipped into their own pockets for was not appreciated. The U.S. is the most generous nation on the earth, and the most hated. Perhaps their is a correlation.

For the record, CBC edited out the 3 minute answer that Coulter gave the young lady and the hecklers that started chanting "Answer the question!" Her comment, "take a camel" was directed at the hecklers, not the young lady. I don't understand why Ann feels the need to be sarcastic or aggressive on college campuses. She is treated fairly. She is not interrupted. People are not rude or insulting to her. The Left patiently allow her to speak so they can then refute her arguments in a wonderful intellectually stimulating academic environment. I'm glad our young people are not taking the fascist route of attacking and shouting down people rather than defeating their ideas.
