  • What a fuckin SONG!

  • Anybody else sick of all the fucking advertisements on this site every time you try to watch a video now??

  • awesome

  • una banda exquisita!!!!

  • the bands last good album i`m sorry to say...bring back chris de garmo.

  • Great drum sound

  • I am a bass player and I think Eddie Jackson is extremely underrated as a bassist. Has anyone listened to Queensryche? This man is playing all of these bass parts with 2 fingers. He doesn't use the 3 finger technique like many great bassists do. Just listen to "the needle lies on "Operation Mind Crime" . Come on people give this man his props damn it!!!

  • @jerseyanimall, I would give more than 2 thumbs up if I had them. : ) Yes, I agree with you, the man does not get his justice. RYCHE ON!

  • what an anthem!

  • Is this the original pokemon tune?

  • This song has a great message, but at the same time...admit that the lyrics sort of make you giggle a bit.

  • @paul0fjustice none of the lyrics make me giggle

  • greatest band EVER..!!!!

  • I used to work out to this song when it first came out... It's been a while...

  • Good,, Very good

  • Good,,

  • drumssSSSS

  • So good. . .

but I like their new side-project better.

Parker Lundgren on iTunes. . . found it there. Song called Don't wake me up.

    So ridiculously good.

  • i saw an interview with the late great ronnie james dio and he said he wished he had the octive range of geoff tate

  • @twentyfour714 I got to talk to RJD maybe a year ago at the airport coming off a flight. I shouted something like "loved you on OM2", and he said he had a blast doing it. That made a great impression on me, that he actually answered me back. And he said he enjoyed working with QR on OM2. He must have been a nice guy. RIP!

  • They are out of metal, but they where one of the best. Mindcrime. Only Alice Cooper and Floyd did a comparable album. I MEAN A DECENT CONCEPT ALBUM.

  • Hair band with brains!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • there is alot of great singers but none have been move highly regarded as geoff tate by people that know music.

  • pity this was the last good album the band made..........

  • @desdinovaboc critically, Promised Land was their best reviewed... I still like Hear in the Now Frontier though... but not Q2K or Tribe

  • @johnnyarockalypse here in the uk promised land got very mixed reviews.from what i read the band were having lots of arguments plus their private lives were in a mess, hence some songs on the album detailing breakdowns of one sort or another.q2k was dreadful so was here in the now frontier...without chris de garmo they are a shadow of their former self...and i was a huge fan,met them a few times and was in the u.s. based fan club.

  • one of my favorite songs. simply brilliant

  • I remember hearing this song i got hooked on it and now its a Legend to my ppl!

  • I love queensryche. They created some great music.

  • Always been my favorite Ryche song.

  • fark me! I'd forgotten how good these guys were / are...

  • Queenryche live in Italy next month ....

  • QUEENSRYCHE 4LIFE !

  • My brother passed away last December, at the age of 37. He had a very aggressive form of cancer, but during his illness both of us drew great spiritual strength from this song. Queensryche is one of our favorite metal bands, and we'll always be connected by their music. My brother went down fighting, and he was the best man I've ever known, all the way to the end. Thank you Queensryche for helping me preserve a wonderful memory of a truly great man I was lucky to call my brother....ROCK ON!!

  • @vinceeverett2010

what a great thing, forever as long as this song is played ,, you have your brother with you ... what a blessing it was a good tune..

  • Growing up, my mother always blasted ryche on the weekends, when I was 7 i knew every song. One of the best bands of all time in my eyes "who do you trust when everyones a crook" "Revolution Calling!"

  • There will never be another Queensryche!

  • @cheapcape Hey my Disco King...AWESOME...Thank you for sharing..

Thank you emiamericarecords..for a dynamic post!

  • Perfecto, muchisimas gracias por el video

  • what does that have to do with QUEENSRYCHE ? go to HUEY LEWIS and leave your non rock comments !!!!!

  • Man.....wouldn't it be great to sleep with that beautiful creature........

  • Effin rock on, I forgot about this track, this is one of the greatest songs ever orchestrated. These guys are brilliant, too bad radio recognizes shit music. Another Rainy Night and I dont believe in love are my other favorites from the real killer queen(sryche)

  • @babybluesnowden Great songs.

  • I remember the other singles from this album were played a lot on daytime MTV, but for some reason this video was only played a couple times late at night on Headbanger's Ball. I never understood it because this song is even better than the other ones.

Even today the other 3 videos get played on vh1classic a lot, but not this one.

  • This is one pf the most amazing songs ever! It has soooo much to tell! The music is fantastic, it makes you think, it makes you cry, it makes you optimistic, and it gives you shit loads of energy, a real burst of it! When I feel down I always listen to Queensryche!

  • I love this song!!!

  • Great song and video!

    Grandissimi Queensryche!

  • Great song.. definitely inspirational - hearing this motivated me, at the time, to not settle for less.

  • @SoccerRockNY never ,ever settle for less. Life is learning , you stop when you pass on...

  • Im am the best band ever A.K. northern az/..

  • Got to see these guys a few months ago. Absolutely one of the best shows I've every seen!

  • i love the way mr. Scott uses the bass drum

  • Haven't heard them live in a LOOOONNGG time but I did have the pleasure of being at a Seahwks/Saints game 2 years ago in Seattle and Geoff Tate did the national anthem! He still sounds great as ever and really did nail the anthem

  • Queensryche have more talent than the whole grunge scene!

  • So true.

  • @TheKillingword For the most part I agree, however, Geoff Tate can't hold a candle to Chris Cornell!

  • @onedollarwill

These days you may be right. Geoff doesnt' seem to be able to sing nearly like he used to. But back then, up until sometime after "Empire", very few could sing as well, let alone better, than he could. Cornell is fantastic, but I don't think even he was ever as good as '85-'91 Geoff Tate.

  • @TheKillingword I like Q. but I recommend you to listen to VS by Pearl Jam and Dirt by Alice In Chains.

  • @beowulf1963 i've listened to these albums and they totally rock!i do believe though, that both pearl jam and alice in chains aren't in ryche's level!

  • @TheKillingword Their music is totally different from eachother, so it's hard to compare the bands.

  • @beowulf1963 I agree w/ the Killingword. they are diffrent styles, but also diffrent value. Ga Ga has a diffrent style too, but it doesn't keep her from being crap. Don't get me wrong, Pearl Jam ain't crap, I love them, but we have to give Cesar what belongs to Cesar. U can't compare styles, but u can compare value!

  • @lavenderblue32 In that case Jimi Hendrix has the highest value of all rock music and van Beethoven of all classical music ;-)

  • @beowulf1963 You may say so, yes!

  • @TheKillingword Grunge?????????

  • ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING TO COME OUTTA SEATTLE.....Queensryche Rules !!

  • agreed.

  • The Empire Album is simply one of the BEST quality song compilations ever.... LOVE IT!

  • "No one hold to catch Me when I fall.....!

Uuh, whatta great great ol´ fashion heavy band. Kicks ass so hard still and 4 ever more. Tate has awesome voice and notice the co-operation of 2 brilliant guitarists - De Garmo and Wilton. Yes! QR rulez!

  • This song always inspired me. Powerful!

  • stumbled upon QUEENSRYCHE in Salinas Cali 87 Crusin the stretch and bored ...left town almost until i saw a large gathering on the outSKIRTS << and just had to see what was going on... WILL NEVER BE THE SAME THANK YOU FATE

  • I almost died from a severe bacterial infection in my spine. The medics and doctors were too slow, and the bacteria ate into my bone and spinal cord.Ouch! I can't move now, but as Huey Lewis once said- the heart of rock 'n roll is still beating! Attitude is everything!

  • @normsantoro good for you. keep a good positive attitude and believe in what you want and you shall receive it. music can be powerful it helped me to heal me back injury. a song i know says "brutalize i will heal" and ii just said it over and over and my back is fine to this day. i know if you believe it you will walk again. "attitude IS everything". peace love and eternal grooviness

  • @killerbmxican Thanks buddy. Powerful music becomes the soundtrack to our lives. Discover Oliver Sacks -

Musicophilia about how music affects the brain. There are videos here on YouTube about it. Keep rockin'... and happy Canada Day !

  • @normsantoro omg im so sorry D:

  • @rb87999 Don't be sorry. It's a waste of energy. Focus on the positive with gratitude. That way, you create more of it. Next time you see someone in a wheelchair or something, offer them a hand. You might surprise them. You might surprise yourself with a new friend. Rock on !

  • @normsantoro :)

  • @normsantoro This is the most powerfull words I have heard. That´s what I call an attitude.I send you greetings and great respect from Croatia. And of course, your attitude perfectly match with this awesome song.

  • @generation1969 I seem to be acquiring a lot of respect from surprising places lately. A short comment that I made months ago has turned into something more, thanks to you and others. I've also been recognized on Twitter by some award-winning VIPs ! Without hands, I guess the energy I used to put into video games now gets channeled into writing with voice recognition. Thanks.

  • @normsantoro Hold on my friend!!!!

  • @thecityknight Nurses and staff treated me like crap today. 9/25/10

I wish I could hold on to a lawyer.

  • @normsantoro you are truly an inspiration to us all!!!God Bless You!!!

  • @billiedreher Some people think what I truly are is a pain in the ass ! Thank You !

  • This is one of the most AWESOME albums ever !!! and I say ALBUM because I grew up to bands such as this during the REAL ROCK era and we had albums, but I do have the cd also lol :)~

  • I loved this song when it came out on EMPIRE.

Then in 2004, I became a quadriplegic. I recently rediscovered this video, wow! It hits close to home! Thank you Queensryche!

  • Wow- how did you become a quadriplegic? This song helped you a lot?

  • This band absolutly KICKS major A-S....Been a fan forever.....So over looked.......Rock on forever...

  • They were safely past the shark when Empire hit the shelves...They peaked with Warning and Rage for Order.

Former protest band tries to keep it going, but fails. That should have been the headline when this came out.

  • Man this band rocks. Been a long time. Hardly anyone makes good rock tunes like this anymore.

Saw them at the Gorge in George. Unreal.

  • great song. this is one of my favorites from queensryche. they're an awesome band whoe's songs are epic and unrelenting. very cool video as well.

  • I discovered Queensryche a lil over a year ago, There music really speaks to the real emotions of people, like the deep inner workings of the mind, Ilove these Bastards!!!!!!!!

  • omg!! i really love this song it is just so amazing!!!!

  • When are they coming to Chicago????

  • @greenzone1122

They were here Nov 1st at the Rialto in Joliet. Great great show!!!!

  • @greenzone1122

They were here Nov 1st. at the Rialto in Joliet. Great great show.

  • Going the show tomorrow Capitol One Theater!!!

  • Queensryche were : Geoff Tate {Vocals} ; Chris DeGarmo {Guitar} ; Michael Wilton {Guitar} & Scott Rockenfield {Drums} All in all a really sensational bandEmpire was a brilliant album

Their music was special, loud vocals & great guitarsPity they have disbanded now

  • Actually, not necessarily disbanded, but have lost a KEY member in Chris DeGarmo. I've been following these guys since the 80's. (yeah, yeah showing my age:::: another b-day on Tues-whew!.::::) but anyway, great arrangment. Although "Mindcrime" was their most "produced" album, you still have to have solid songs to make the grade. That being said, much talent there!

  • how inspiring

  • One of the greatest hard rock bands EVER!

  • They are indeed legends in the genre.

  • Geoff tate and Chris Degarmo...better together...love EMPIRE its their 2112!

  • i knew it they use esp guitar they r some of the best guitar and played by the best guitar players

  • Tate sounded awesome at the Greek Theater, Berkeley. I enjoyed the "NOISE" also...... Rock on

  • Saw them live a few months ago, and they totally still have it! Geoff sounds great!

  • ya im sad degarmo left the band. I guess he's flying commercial jets nowadays for some airline. Kelly gray is badass tho to fill n all his parts. I saw them live just before they released mindcrime 2. Badass been a fan since 85'

  • i saw them on the "empire" tour. i think it was 1992. they played most of "mindcrime" that night. it was pretty cool. suicidal tendencies opened up for them. i was heavy into Queensryche at the time.

  • hmmm, how do you pronounce the bands name?

    queens raik?

    or

    queens riche?

  • rhymes with bike

  • i bet he can sing maiden songs well

  • Too all you fools that think they disbanded, I'm seeing them play tonight!

  • please report back

  • So how was the show?

  • they arent shit without Chris De Garmo...hope you had fun at the show listening to noise. lol

  • danrush - im sorry to have to agree with you. i think they just need to focus a bit. chris degarmo's talent was evident, and is sadly missed by some fans.

but the singer was incredible 20 years ago, and michael wilton kicked ass. eddie jackson, too. drums - just ok.

  • I have to say, that this song ROCKS!!!

  • and how would he be able to run around the stage like that without hurting his knee

  • no im positive that it was a chose that he could rather pay football or sing

  • There was no choice in the matter. Many knee injuries will prevent a person from playing sports or working in a specific field but it doesn't mean you can't run...

  • did you guys know that he could have been a pro quarterback he was that good but he choose singing instead

  • There wasn't a choice in the issue of play ing football...he suffered a career ending knee injury in high school when in Washington.

  • no , didn't know that but i do know they are still very much together . check out their myspace.

  • Who on Queensryche's could have been a pro quarterback? ...In scanning I cannot locate here.

  • no they broke up trust me

  • great band i wish they were still together

  • lol they never broke up man , they released a new album last march called " american soldier" and went on tour earlier this month :)

  • Ace...Queensryche is currently on tour right now promoting the American Soldier album. In fact at the time of this comment they are performing a concert in Zaragoza Spain. Go to their web site for tour info

  • The truth shall remain...

    I'm a southern man...

This song makes me feel better...

I love this song and video...

I really really love this band's music...

  • very bad editing

  • long live the Q! great music AND THOUGHFUL LYRICS(WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK IT??!) LOL TONGUE IN CHEEK

  • Make the grade I SET!

  • I believe this video was banned from MTV in it's day. Too controversial with the "self accident gun shooting" and saying an "inner city" person made it out of poverty via the NBA. MTV as always, missed the boat on this one. Really great, motivating song saying that a man's spirit will not be confined to a wheelchair or a bad situation if he does the best he can, he will be able to reach his dreams.

The Q was great in their day.

  • "Im goimg to melt the two men into one"

  • This is Law of attraction before it became what it is today. This group has grown just as the plan in this song! The great things Queensryche is doing for the troops with their concerts and all is being the one can and as they give so shall they receive. Great job!!!!

  • I seen these guys for the American Soldier tour, holy fuck they played Rage For Order,American Soldier, and Empire. Great concert, they sounded very good. I must say I was impressed when I left the concert.

  • Sounds like the goods.

  • Love the message of the song, which is also what I am facing right now, doing the best I can.

  • Chase the light you see ahead and live to be the best you can. Best Wishes

  • dude tate has a serious bad ass look about him in the beginning of this video!

    go RYCHE

  • Well so far every video he has his arms crossed. and his hair is allways tied back. not that I am complaing I think it is good.

  • well almost all the time. I see empire and Slient Luc he does not have it tied back

  • QUEENSRYCHE 4LIFE

  • Kick arse!

    Go Queensryche!

  • Glad to be able to youtube them! Thanks for not being under those dickheads at WMG.

  • History will prove that these guys kicked ass.Complete Talent.Awesome! I go to a fishing camp every year and this band is on 24/7! Love Queensryche!

  • my favorite Queensryche song of all time! It motivates me and you can't beat Geoff's vocals!

  • I agree, it definitely gets you going, I LOVE to crank this up when I'm on the treadmill.

  • This is the baddest Queensryche song!!! i love most of their stuff but this one rules the world.

  • QUEENSRYCHE ROCKS!!!!!

  • yes it does

  • Best song by Queensryche.

  • handsdown, dude: this is their best song; empire and another rainy night are really good, but this one takes the cake

  • what 5 do you recommed?

i'm a new fan at age 13 interested since they sound like ever grey, and only want the best this band has for now

  • Best I Can

    Eyes of a Stranger

    The Lady Wore Black

    Revolution Calling

    Jet City Woman

  • I dont Belive in Love

    Last time in Paris

    Operatiom Mindcrime

just to add to the other Guys list

  • Comment removed

  • Just buy the Empire cd. One of the best albums of all time IMO. Almost every single song on it is great. A must buy!

  • Take Hold of the Flame

Breaking the Silence of the Night

    N M 156

  • First off, good choice. Best band of the 80's IMO. As for what to choose, I'd go with albums over songs. Their earliest stuff is the best - Rage for Order, The Warning, Operation: Mindcrime (Get the LiveCrime CD/DVD from '91 instead of the studio version - I listened to both, and the band is AMAZING on LiveCrime), & Empire. American Soldier (released at the end of March) is great as well.

Between iTunes, Best Buy, and your local music store, you should have no problem getting everything.

  • oh hell yeah, funking eh right....this kicks ass...Listen to that bass line...thank you!!!

  • empire rocked but mindcrime was so much better and much harder but all in all queenryche is fucking awesome!

  • The First band to come out of Washington state and to rock our country to the fullest .

    Rock On ...

  • Why should we have to choose to watch in HD quality...I would think that watching the video in the HD quality would be expected. Let me choose to watch in crappy quality...sheesh...

  • My god, he is HOT as hell!!!

  • Great album.

  • Is anyone out there sick of these "Samantha Who pop ups? Let me know.

  • the first line is so fuckin haunting

  • yea, but so awesome: it's that haunting feeling that makes it cool

  • great song and band

  • 0000000000

  • Geoff and Chris had some kick ass hits together

  • Chris DeGarmo did for Queensryche what Alex Skolnick did for Testament... made them a success!
