With modern heat exchanger technology & solar water heaters you can produce amazing amounts of energy & it works best when you have an anti-cyclone (summer or winter). Why decry wind turbines which work very nicely when its windy, which is the cyclonic (ie. opposite weather pattern)! What we need is a MIX of renewables on or close to the place where its needed! Putting all your eggs in one basket is what's wrong with the whole fosil fuel aproach to energy & hence this issue over gas from Russia!
