We have a 12 pound Rat Terrier and a Lab that play just like that. There best friends, the little dog follows the big dog everywhere (never leaves her side).

My RT somehow scared a huge stray Rottweiler off the front yard and gets along very well with my bud's Pitbull. He HATES little dogs, yet befriends our cats. Strange.

Yes, all too true. Our mini rat terrier regularly escapes from the yard to chase dogs that are 5 times her size. She also loves to antagonize the other dogs in the house - one pit/boxer mix (male), one pit bull (female) and one golden retriever (female). They all seem to leave her alone except occasionally the pit bull will get annoyed and try to nip at her pointy little ears.

Mine does the exact same thing with my sisters 90lb black lab (he's probably as big as that bernie). So funny! She runs circles around him, but he gives her a few good swats with his enormous paw and she tumbles but gets right back up! So cute!

My rat terrier thinks she is "big" too! Although she is playing with our big cat and not a big dog! I actually never heard of the breed until we saw a women with one. Rat Terriers are so COOL. Check out my video--
