@RadioActiveOreo Late reply, but if you look up the 'Asian-English' version of the game, it has exactly that; full english text with the Japanese voice overs intact.

It's the Japanese movies and sound mixed with the US text, so there are a few minor problems with it (Occasional miss-timed subtitles, due to the cutscenes being re-timed to match the English dubbing, and a few lines where the subtitles and the character sprite say something, but the voice is missing), but nothing too bad.

Yes. Their names are Ono Daisuke (Snow) and Sakamoto Maaya (Lightning). I think they've been in a lot of things together recently...

Thanks for posting it! I wish I could play it though but unfortunately I don't got a PS3 or a xbox 360. I saw the ending "spoilers" though it made me interested in it more. ^^;

As incredibly angry as Kronau is...I have to agree with him, the Japanese voices don't "fit" with a black guy nor the primarily caucasian characters...I thought the English voice actors did an overall decent job. Not great, but not bad either. Some scenes felt botched, but some were pretty great.

considering the fact that i've seen japanese and caucasians speak great Japanese, I thought the English counterparts made it painful for me to listen to them.

Glasses-san has quite a beautiful voice in Japanese (Albeit in English she sounds sexy). Lightning's voice was way better here than in English... I liked it a lot! Thank you!

^ Yes you did ^_^. Makes me happy, since I was worrying over the kinda sappy way he said her name in English...I don't realy trust them to pair Snow and Lightning without messing it up somehow.

I'm kinda unhappy with the dubbing, but given how much I love the Japanese cast (Sakamoto Maaya as Lightning and Ebara Masashi as Sazh especially), there was no way they were gonna make me happy...It's just Sazh and Snow's voices that really bug me, everyone else is just me nitpicking.

XD I actually totally spazzed the first time I saw the trailer too, despite the dub. It all looks so awesome; I'm especially pleased to finally see (And hear) Glasses lady, and that silver-haired guy looks fun too.
