They had the whole footage of them running that track, and they took a snapshot of the beginning and then took the end of the clip and bounded it together, with keyframing to move through masking. Which allowed the video to move in suspended motion. It is all done through Adobe Premiere, or After Effects. It may seem impossible, but it is all possible...
