Yeah if you didn't know a nuclear disaster happened here , so that's why they said 50,000 people used to live here now it's a ghost town. COD did a great job with every aspect of the mission/map. The theme park was going to open on that day or in a couple of days of that disaster. The hotel, theme park,school is all real.

@sebbomm Nah, it's not. They have guided tours and stuff of Pripyat, and people visit both cities all the time. There is radiation still, but it's not enough to cause any damage to you from what I've read.
