What do u think is cruel about it?? I'm a barrel racing and treat my barrel horse with respect. I dont whip her or hurt her. She is fed well, and well taken care of.
Oh, sorry, I didn't mean that personally. I mean that in the shows I see on TV the horse seems to knock some of the barrels, would't that hurt it? Anyway, I'm kinda new so I don't really know.
No usually when the barrel gets knocked over, its the person's knee that hits it. Unless the horse "shoulders" the barrel. And unless your horse is wimpy it doesn't hurt them, cause if that hurt them then getting kicked or bit by another horse would SERIOUSLY damage them. which it doesn't. So no them hitting the barrels doesn't hurt, usually (like me and my barrel horse) its the rider's knee or chins that hit the barrel..
i was at that show. i showed english and western. i did really well except for jumping because my horse didnt know lead changes then now he is starting to do really well with them.
@simswer ahh ok. thanks :)
