  • lol everyone is really quick to judge how loose farha is here.. without even knowing what his chip stack was... yeah its a loose play.. but he didn't raise, he just called on the button. obviously if he was really low he wouldn't have done that.. but if he casually had enough to put daniel all in, he was just floating with high stack.

  • Only a Canadian could fold that hand; an American is too proud and too stupid, more brains than brawn, they would have tried to bull on through and lost, only a Canadian would have the finesse and the intelligence to fold

  • wow what a loose play from farha calling 3 bet with 92s lol

  • Juste bet pot Sam!

  • two of my favorite players ever

  • Everyone respects Daniels game.. so much so that Farha would actually be honest about something for once in his poker career

  • Fuck Farha, he sucks. Don't know why people like him at all.

  • @girlie347 because his swag and style is off the charts

  • Daniel was asking for Farha to catch up by just calling the flop bet. His hand could only get worse on the turn or river, yet he still decided to get too cute with it.

  • Idiot player floats AJ on a 567 board how do these players even make it this far

  • How is this a great laydown? Board paired and there was possible flush. It always sucks to flop nuts and get this river, but thats poker.

  • @Alfa777

sam farha plays super aggressive great poker, most player would have called given his aggressive nature to bluff a lot of pots. Sammy had a huge early chip lead knocking out like 3-4 players it's very hard to give him credit for having a good hand.

  • Why did Harrison call? He obviously had almost no chips left and he called with two overs and backdoor flush draw..

  • You folded a straight, Daniel?

    hahahaha

  • it is because a flush will knock him out

  • Sammy is the best maniac in the world lol =)))

He's playing every crappy hand and bets always damn high )))

  • Look at Sammy in the end.He is honest to Daniel and tells him he had it.Very nice gesture.I like them both.

  • @Randy1337 Yeah, i wanted to post the same thing.. it was really nice of him.

  • @Randy1337 farha says he had it even when he didn't have it though, so it means nothing coming from him

  • @Randy1337 I know, I love this hand and the respect they both show to eachother, should teach a lesson to those players who behave like 5 year old whether winning or loosing pots, no need to show the cards to show real honesty

  • @Randy1337 farha is a major dick in real life, don't let this fool you.

  • @applesauceman

i dont know im personally.Just from the behaviour i see in the cashgames or the wsop he seems pretty relaxed and a true gambler.

  • @Randy1337 personally, i can tell you its all an act for tv. he would never show his true self on tv, its no good for his image.

  • @applesauceman so how come you know him so well?are you a friend of him?did he do something shady to you?

  • @Randy1337 i play in games near him (as in, same room) and with players who play with him. beyond this, my dealers regularly deal to him. they all say the same and i have witnessed it myself. he is a 100% asshole and prick, or whatever you want to call him.

  • @Randy1337 i am not friends with him. like i said, i play with him. dealers and players talk.

  • This hand would play out so much differently if it wasn't for the presence of the donk in the middle. When he reraises preflop i think daniel put him on overpair - I think he was suprised when the guy didn't bet, or check raise on the flop. If it was heads up between daniel and farha, it might be a check raise on the flop followed by a lead on the turn- farha might fold in that situation?

  • Danny, you're the best

  • Two awesome guys. Both Daniel and Sammy.

  • negreanu is amazing

  • Listen to new Poker Song "TEN TWENTY LENNY"

  • I don't think that is this tough a laydown. If farha had trips or 2 pair on the flop or a flush draw he outdrew daniel on the river. The river was a gross card for Daniel. His straight essentially became a bluff catcher in that spot based on the betting sequence. Hard to give Farha credit to bluff in that spot because Daniel played it like he had a monster and because Daniel was pot committed. But obviously alot easier to say this when you know the hole cards.

  • but never in your life

  • Daniel is awesome!!

I wish i could play like that i really do

  • An interview sometime later with Farha and he admitted that when he coughed, Negreanu told him he knew he was beat

  • Comment removed

  • Few things to consider:

    1) From the sounds of it Daniel was running bad, so it is much harder to get away from a good hand.

    2) He has played a lot with Sammy and knows he could bluff there.

I agree though. once the hand is put together its not an insanely difficult lay down, but hindsight is always 20/20 so who knows.

  • I wish I had the bankroll to play with the big boys because - bear with me here - I believe I could handle myself (prob not win right enough;p) for the pure reason that they would bring out the best in me as a player. Playing online with so many clueless donkeys saps my will to live. It is such a lottery. Sometimes it just makes me so damn mad when I get sucked out on by some river rat

  • That was me, sorry about that but even though I didn't have the odds and there were already better potential hands I just didn't think i could let it go incase the J came out. :-)

  • hehe yeah that's basically what I meant. Happens all the time

  • I played yesterday called a 3BB bet in position with TT and a K83 rainbow flop. Original better leads out as expected with half pot bet. Little high for AK so I can preclude a K. I will see the turn. Half pot bet to a 5. This person is scared of something and although odds are not favourable the implied odds are huge. River is a 10. they look and shove their whole stack and berate me for being a river rat with my trips. They had QQ. Maybe I played bad, maybe not.

  • You just got very lucky. Also that's not how you use the word preclude.

  • No it is

  • not the only one mate......i try to play good poker and nearly always have my money in with the best hand but i seem to lose more than 50% of the time even when im a 7 to 3 favourite

  • i have a much better record in the$215 games on pokerstars than i do on the $10-$20 games...i actually play better against better players and dont get donked as often...go for those i usually try and get in via satellite

  • to mph84... Negranu just got sucked out on by 'some river rat'

you would probably pay him off, just like ur online sessions.

  • @shumacher500

you would just pay him to fuck you up the ass.

oh btw, tell your mom to stop burning my toast in the morning

  • Tell your dad to stop sucking on my dick in public, its getting embarrasing.

  • tell your grandpa i'm gonna dig up your granny, set fire to her corpse and then put the flames out with my shit

  • If u watch this u gonna hate all the imbecil calling stations @ an average online poker game... that has nothing to do with 'real' poker.

  • Daniel should have pushed it when he saw those two spades flop, bad play, he let Sammy catch up.

  • when you see 5 6 7 on flop and your opponent "pushes it" you can be certain he's got or looking for a straight

  • If he wan't to check the flop after seeing a potential flush draw hit fine (risky, but ok). But after the Turn came he only bet 2k which allowed Sam to inexpensively see another card. It was a poor betting strategy

  • Should-a, Could-a, Would-a but didn't, it's easy for you to say after seeing this video, and the hole cards, you weren't sitting in that seat....

  • No way. If I flopped a straight, the very first thing I would search for would be a flush draw and if there was any I would try to get rid of those with possible flush with a reasonably high bet. I thing Daniel got something surprised of the flopped straight and emotion prevailed for a second. Or just got greedy. :D

  • OK? But we're talking about Buy-In versus playing poker for free...

  • I didn´t notice, but that doesn´t matter. Daniel is still a great player, that laydown was perfect. ;)

  • farha = the definition of cool

  • "you folded a straight daniel?"

    xD both are the kings!

  • i thought it was nice of sammy to tell daniel that he had a better hand than him, its no consolation, but its a way of sammy appreciating daniels good laydown

  • Fantastic laydown. That's the thing about professionell players. They so god damn know when to call and when to give up.

  • That`s what you see on TV on shows like high stakes poker.

That happens because they play on a lot of money, and they play against other profesionals. Or even though not pros, at least opponents that have the slight ideea of what poker is.

That`s why on internet poker for example, you get called by all imbecils, get pushed around with nothing and all sorts of idiotic plays. Couse you play all donkeyland and they get rewarded on the river.

  • You're absolutely right. In online-Poker you always get called, no matter how much you raise. You see the show down on almost each hand. That's no fun at all and has nothing to do with strategy. If you want to play "real" poker you have to play for some money. Doesn't even have to be very much. But it doesn't make any sense playing for no money. People will call you every single time, you can't bluff them. That only makes it a question of pure luck.

  • Totally agreed, because you'll always have that question in the back of your mind, "Hmm i'm playing for 10K, I better slow down.." Definetely agree with you...

  • @GenEth1c super like this comment so true

  • @GenEth1c U can avoid that by playing at least 1/2 blinds

  • @GenEth1c i know what you mean haha, i played like a donkey as a kid, lost my money but now playing smart its different haha.

  • lol. That's the stupid thing I've read this week.

  • both are great players

  • sammy a fish?

daniel is better, of course, but i doubt ur better than sammy ;) hes not a fish

  • Daniel is such a good player, it would have taken a lot more time and thinking from myself to fold that hand, but he let it go!

I have nothing against Sam but he is a fish, he was good on the flop, but it doesn't matter what danierl bets, sam's calling all day long, unlucky for Daniel, lucky for Sam.

  • Comment removed

  • like sam would have folded his gutshot and FD. Daniel would have lost more..

  • lol, why would he re-raise the flop? If he re-raises there, he will scare away one of the few hands that would give him value. From what I saw he played that perfectly.

  • sick...

  • you've fold the straight daniel?!

  • thats what sum people do when they flop the nuts....

wat u want him to do...

    go all in??

  • yeah, but if theres a flush draw you have to bet big so they dont call with a flush draw and fuck u over

  • Keep making jokes/false claims about death - they have a weird way of coming back to you. Dipshit.

  • Daniel is the best. It was a genius laydown. He does it constantly. Pro's make these laydowns.

  • Spoken like a true amateur!

  • indeed, there was not even such a posibility.. there was no raise involded, only a bet and a call so reraise was not even an option :) and yeah daniel played that hand pretty much perfect.. and he knows if farha is drawing he's not giving up so yeah.. indeed

  • shut up

  • Absolutley amazing lay down. Whatever people say about negreanu nobody can deny he is the best reader out there. To lay down a straight when you have so much in the pot already takes guts. Amazing play.

  • daniel is the best

  • This is a great laydown-especially with Farha's reputation as a bluffer

  • Where does akdons get off telling Daniel Negreanu he played a hand wrong? And if farha called a raise and still caught the flush Daniel would have been out more, you just never know the possibilities. But I do know you can't question Negreanu, that guy is amazing.

  • "Let's chop it!" :D

  • nah lets gamble

  • if you flop a straight with 2 cards of the same suite , you bet big so people dont call with flush draws

  • yes but when sammy calls with 9s 2s he is hoping for a flop exactly like the one that came. he ain't going nowhere no matter what the bet is.

  • I dont like Farha, stupid lucky calling station!

  • Don't pair the board ... no spade...

    What does he get? Both!

Had it been 1 or the other maybe that's different, but both scares away the straight. Especialy when up against a professional fisherman, and your life is on the line...

  • thats a great lay down, sure it was possible but to throw away a straight, dunno if i could do that!

  • Haha I DEF know that I couldn't do that! Negreanu's a genius when it comes to reading hands!

  • Take a close look at 1:58, does that appear to be a twitch above Sammy's left brow?

  • nice to see that Sammy tells Daniel he was Beat

  • easy lay down?? not really... logical one.... for suree... a pro lays that down .. the rest of us ... pays off hahaha

  • no accually the 5 made a full house or a flush very likely in this scenerio

  • umm yeha thats kinda what i juss said dude... hahaha wtf

  • srr I thought you ment that ironic

  • an easy laydown????????? LOL

  • your telling me you would fold a straight? dont bullshit me

  • Daniel is not human...

  • daniel knows that sammy likes to gamble :P

  • amazing lay down
