I had the pleasure of seeing Slade twice at The Spectrum in Philadelphia in the mid 70's. Noddy Holder was the consummate showman and the band was the epitome of glamour rock with a decidedly British flair. This cover of "Move Over" was a show stopper! Thanks for the post
Slade was and will forever be my favorite band, I started following Slade in the early 70's and was in awe of Noddy's vocal, I always thought he was a male version of Janis Joplin, and I don't mean that as a put down a great range of vocal ability!! I liked both versions of Janis' and Slade......Great Rockers!!!!!!
Another GREAT track! A Janis Joplin tune which Slade covered and I think made their own - others covered this tune, but not as convincingly, or as heavily - which I personally like a lot!
thanks ac for this posting of a class cover by noddy,so raw and natural,,the guy is a living legend,he would have been perfect for filling in for bon scott, god rest his soul,no disrespect to brian johnson but hes not a patch on noddy,,cheers man,
Slade's version of Mover Over is the best by far.......They were such a great band, I spent much of my childhood listening to the one and only SLADE..on vinyl...
thanks for posting this my friend. I love slade and i love ac/dc. I have the vinyl lp of slayed beside me now which i bought brand new in 1972 and still play it. really enjoyed this again..
Im glad you like it, shame about the record player. Me and my dad used to have one but it broke, will probably buy a new USB one sometimes in the near future. Rock On!
Thanks for your postings ACDCFan, you seem to have a gold mine of Slade stuff!
Two of the most most memorable gigs i've ever been to were ACDC at B'ham Town Hall in 76 with Bon Scott, ticket price 50p and same place, Slade in 78. Can't remember the ticket price cos I bleedin lost it; it was signed by all the band too. Bummer !!
Slade is my dads favourite band so I have access to a lot of their songs and I will probably upload some live material after Slade Live At The BBC 69-72 arrives.
Thx for your comments on my videos.
(Awesome that you've seen both Slade and AC/DC live in the 70s!)
love slade, but i think anyone who likes this should also check out janis jolplin's original. theyre both different in good ways.

Fabulous cover ! It made me buy the album in 1978, my first one, I wasn't even in my teens !
I still have it but can't play it as I don't have a record player. Instead I play a cassette that's nearly faded. Thanks for up loading !
