I thought Hellen Keller was blind, not full of down syndrome. This is a horrible recreation. HORRIBLE. Shouldn't be regarded as an actress but instead a mockery artist. This is just.. unbelievably bad. She sounds like she is trying way too hard to be "deaf" but her choppy deep voice speech reminds me of a deaf hitler. All I need her to do is start screaming "NEIN NEIN NEIN" and we'd be set.

Wow, that was a very powerful speech, and the actress giving it was amazing. She captured the essence of Helen's words as though she, too, were feeling the plight of blindness/deafness. I do wonder if the actress herself is actually blind, if not, it was the best performance I've ever seen.

Anything that is made to try to display the wonderful achievements of Keller is good. However I have seen documents of Keller moving and speaking. Her mannerisms are not like this at all. Her message was strong, but her personality gentle. She didn't sign with such force, my God this actor looks angry. Her very brute and hard body language is NOTHING like the real Kellers. I wonder if she or anyone involved in this video took time to watch Keller in action on documentaries to see how she acted.

the speech made here by hellen Keller is clearly understandable, however, I read an article which said that her speech was difficut to understand and even her relatives had difficultu figuring out what she was saying, besides, being unable to speak well was her biggest complaint, this is what bothered her more than her blindness ... what's more, there is a film on youtube where you can hear a short sentence she's saying and she doesn't sound as well as here
