@gitzmax First scientific jargon is my forte. Second SDM is in many text books. Third you asked for examples of R&D not R&D specifically linked to this topic hence my comment on your broad topic. Fourth I have met many intelligent people also, they never lied about their area of study and they were of all different backgrounds - socio-economic, race, creed, gender. Finally I would much prefer certain cells to have a faster apoptosis, however I'm sure you're aware of the benefits of apoptosis.

The answer to your question is most likely on wikipedia - it is probably the incorrect information (I wouldn't know I don't touch wiki). Either way my knowledge far exceeds yours as does my general contribution to society. Also please learn to define parameters R&D is applied in many industries. Not that it matters.

Words which have more than one definition may be difficult to grasp for those of lower intelligence.
